The train takes you deep into the caverns, and it's quite the geological experience. From there, you head to Motovun for a truffle tasting on a family farm, where you'll also try a traditional Croatian omelette paired with local Istrian wines. The farm setting gives you a real sense of how truffles are sourced in this region. Later in the afternoon, you drive to Buzet, a hilltop village perched above the River Mirna valley. The actual trip was great but I would have appreciated more scenery and nature stops rather than just mentions that we were passing them Also I didn’t appreciate our guide stating our driver was paid tip money because it was a premium trip but failed to mention she was also given tip money so all passengers tipped her according to the guidelines set out by Intrepid
