- Day 1
Venice
You'll arrive in Venice and get picked up from the airport by car and water taxi, heading straight to your hotel. If you show up early, there's time to walk around and check out some of the main sights like St Mark's Square, the Basilica, Doges' Palace, and the famous bridges before meeting your group leader at 6 pm. Later that evening, you'll have a welcome dinner at a local spot serving Venetian specialties like fritto misto and risotto with asparagus.

- Day 2
Venice to Bled
You'll leave Venice heading toward Ljubljana for a guided walk through the Old Town, stopping by Ljubljana Castle, Town Hall, the Cathedral of St Nicholas, and the Dragon Bridge. The open market under the arcades is next, and then you'll travel on to Bled, a lakeside town where the rest of your evening is yours to spend however you like.

- Day 3
Bled
This morning you're driving through the Sava Bohinjka Valley to reach Lake Bohinj, Slovenia's largest natural lake. A cable car takes you up Mt Vogel for views of forests and water below. After coming back down, you'll grab lunch at a local restaurant, then take a traditional Pletna boat out to the island and climb 99 steps to St Mary's Church. Your evening is free to explore and try the famous Bled cream cake.

- Day 4
Postojna - Motovun - Buzet
Your day starts with a train journey through Postojna Caves, Europe's largest classic karst cave system, where you'll see dramatic stalactites and stalagmites rising up around you. The train takes you deep into the caverns, and it's quite the geological experience. From there, you head to Motovun for a truffle tasting on a family farm, where you'll also try a traditional Croatian omelette paired with local Istrian wines. The farm setting gives you a real sense of how truffles are sourced in this region. Later in the afternoon, you drive to Buzet, a hilltop village perched above the River Mirna valley. The traditional Istrian architecture here is well-preserved, and the panoramic views from the village overlook the winding river below, making it a nice spot to wrap up the day.

- Day 5
Buzet to Plitvice Lakes
You'll leave mid-morning to see the villages of Slunj and Rastoke along the Korana River, walking through and looking at the traditional wooden houses and old water mills. Your hotel is just outside Plitvice Lakes National Park. An optional walk with your leader is available to get your bearings, but the rest of the afternoon and evening is free for you to relax.

- Day 6
Plitvice Lakes
Today you're exploring Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO site with wooded hills, turquoise lakes, and waterfalls. Your leader will suggest trails and explain park rules based on what interests you. Later you'll drive to Zadar for an afternoon tour hitting the Roman Forum, St Donatus' Church, St Grisigono's Church, and several other historic sites. The day wraps up with local food tasting of prosciutto, pancetta, cheeses and olives, followed by maraschino liqueur while overlooking the bay.

Zadar
Zadar is yours to explore on your own today. You could visit the Museum of Church Art, Archaeological Museum, or National Museum if those appeal to you. The 'Greeting to the Sun' and 'Sea Organ' are modern attractions worth checking out, or you could browse the fish markets, swim in the coastal waters, or just sit in a café and watch the city go by.

Zadar to Split
You're driving to Split with a stop in Sibenik first. There you'll walk through the stone houses and narrow streets where history mixes with modern life, and see St Jacob's Cathedral, a 15th-century UNESCO site. After lunch, you'll continue to Split, Croatia's second-largest city on the coast. Your boutique hotel sits on one of the city's most beautiful squares and has centuries of history behind it. There's an optional group dinner at a local restaurant if you'd like to join.
