Please note: These activities are booked and paid for locally and do not form part of your Explore holiday contract.

      Bologna - Asinelli Tower - 498 steps to the top! - 5 Euros pp

      Florence - Uffizi Gallery; home to Raphael, Michelangelo, Titian and Leonardo Da Vinci masterpieces it's best to book in advance and we recommend visiting later on the afternoon of day 5 as you will have more time.

      Pisa - Leaning Tower of Pisa - €20 per person. Check the latest timings for our visit to Pisa with your tour leader before booking a timed entry ticket.

      Rome - Visiting the Vatican, Rome's most popular attraction; You should book tickets to the Museum online in advance. Check the Vatican website for updated information on opening times. Note the Vatican is closed to visitors on Sunday with the exception of the last Sunday of every month when entry is free although it can get very busy. If visiting on Friday day 6, we recommend that you do not book a timed ticket for entry any earlier that 5 pm. Prior to the 31st March and after 31st October, final entry to the Vatican is at 4 pm. If you have booked a ticket for 4 pm, please advise your tour leader who will adapt the earlier sightseeing accordingly. Please note that pre-booked tickets are not required if you just want to visit St Peter's Basilica

      We do have plenty of availability for this departure. While we don't have the exact room measurements, please note that rooms in European hotels are generally smaller compared to the standard size of North American hotels. We will be using standard rooms at all of these properties.
