Itinerary
- Day 1
Rome to Florence via Orvieto and Siena
You'll start at the Hilton in Rome at 08:15 AM and head north through the rolling hills of Tuscany. The drive takes you to Orvieto first, where you can walk around this striking town that sits on a volcanic cliff and check out its Gothic cathedral. From there, it's on to Siena where you'll have time to wander the medieval streets and see Piazza del Campo. You'll arrive in Florence by evening, which will be your base for the next two nights.

- Day 2
Florence
This is your free day in Florence, so you've got complete flexibility. The Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery, and Michelangelo's David are all there waiting if you want to see them, or you could check out Palazzo Pitti and wander through the Boboli Gardens instead. Throughout the day you can try local restaurants, taste some wine, and grab gelato whenever you feel like it. You'll spend your second night in Florence.

Florence to Pisa
After breakfast, you'll travel through Tuscany down to La Spezia on the Ligurian coast. Your included train ticket lets you explore the five villages of Cinque Terre at your own pace, so you can relax at the beaches, walk through the narrow streets, try some local wine, or just take in the terraced vineyards. Later in the evening you'll head to Pisa, giving you some free time to walk along the Arno River and see Piazza dei Miracoli before your overnight stay.

- Day 4
Pisa - Lucca - Volterra to Montepulciano
This morning you'll explore Pisa and can see the Leaning Tower or visit the cathedral if you prefer. Then it's off to Lucca, a walled city where you can walk along the city walls and check out the Cathedral of St Martin. After lunch, you'll head to Volterra in the afternoon to explore its Etruscan heritage and medieval character. Later, you'll arrive in Montepulciano surrounded by vineyards, where you'll stay for two nights.

Montepulciano and Val d'Orcia
You'll start your day at a relaxed pace in Montepulciano with an espresso and pastry, then go to Piazza Grande for views across Val d'Orcia. Later in the morning, you're heading to Pienza, a Renaissance town that's a UNESCO site, where you can grab lunch and visit the cathedral and museums. In the afternoon, you'll stop at a local winery for a tour and tasting. Before heading back to Montepulciano, you'll visit Bagno Vignoni to see the famous thermal springs. Your evening is free.

Maremma and Return to Rome
You'll leave Tuscany behind and travel south into Maremma, a region with strong Etruscan roots. In Sovana, a medieval town with ancient origins, you can explore either the Necropolis with its old tombs or walk the Via Cave sunken roads, depending on what interests you more. Next, you'll stop in Capodimonte on Lake Bolsena where you can relax or visit the Rocca Farnese fortress. Your journey ends back in Rome, arriving around 7 PM.
