Itinerary
- Day 1
Naples
Your flight arrives in Naples today. Once you settle into your accommodation, take some time to relax. Grab a cappuccino at a local café or have a glass of wine before dinner to ease into the trip.

- Day 2
Naples
Start in the Vomero district and head up to Castel St. Elmo for views across Naples and the Gulf. From there, walk through the Santa Chiara monastery and its cloister, then spend time at the National Archaeological Museum checking out artifacts from Pompeii and Herculaneum. Before heading back, see the Galleria Umberto and use the rest of the afternoon to wander around on your own.

Naples - Pompeii - Cava de'Tirreni
Early start for the steep climb up Mount Vesuvius to the summit where you get panoramic views of the Gulf. After that, head to Pompeii and walk through the forum, thermal baths, theaters, and old residential buildings to get a sense of Roman life. Later drive to Cava de'Tirreni, about 70 km away, where you'll spend the night.

Amalfi Coast - Positano - Amalfi - Ravello
Drive along the Amalfi Coast, one of Italy's most beautiful coastlines, passing through Positano and Amalfi on your way to Ravello. Check out the cathedral there, then explore the gardens at Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone with their views over the Gulf of Salerno. The drive covers about 120 km total.

- Day 5
Cava de'Tirreni - Paestum - Capri
Visit Paestum to see three well-preserved Greek temples, some of the best examples of Greek culture in southern Italy. Spend time at the museum looking at temple pieces and the famous Diver image. In the late afternoon, take the ferry across to Capri, about 145 km from where you started the day.

Capri
Take the hour-and-a-half walk to Villa Jovis, where the Roman Emperor Tiberius spent his later years. Stop by the Augustus Gardens to see the Faraglioni cliffs and the winding Via Krupp. Wander around Capri Town and settle in for a quiet evening once the day-trippers leave the island.

Capri - Anacapri - Ischia
Head to Villa San Michele in Anacapri, a former retreat with views of the sea. See the small church of San Michele nearby. Take a chairlift up to Monte Solaro, the island's highest point, for panoramic views, then ride back down. In the afternoon, cross by ferry to Ischia.

Ischia
Circle around the extinct volcano Monte Epomeo, stopping at Forio, Lacco Ameno, Casamicciola, and Ischia-Porto to see different parts of the island. You'll pass by the Aragonese castle in Ischia-Ponte, which you can view from outside. The route covers about 25 km around the island.
