Bucharest to Giurgiu
Join a panoramic tour of Bucharest and see the People's Palace, which shows off the city's mix of Communist-era boldness, elegant 19th-century French-style buildings, and historic structures from the 1500s. Later, the motorcoach takes you to Giurgiu where your river ship is waiting.

Ruse
You'll dock in Ruse, Bulgaria's main Danube port, nicknamed 'Little Vienna' because of its 19th-century mansions and grand public buildings. Iron Gates - Donji Milanovac - Golubac
The ship cruises through the Iron Gates gorge, one of the Danube's most dramatic sections. You'll get off to check out a Paleolithic site and the well-preserved 14th-century Golubac Castle, and you can spot Trajan's Plaque carved into the cliffs above. Pick one excursion: Lepenski Vir Archaeological Park and Golubac Castle, or a scenic hike to Kovilovo Viewpoint.
