Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive at Cairo airport and get transferred to your hotel. Check-in happens at 13:00, so if your flight gets in early, you can relax at the hotel or grab lunch. Later that evening, there's an option to take a 2-hour Nile dinner cruise with live entertainment if you're feeling up for it after your travel.

Cairo
After hotel breakfast, your guide will take you to the Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx plus its Valley Temple. You'll get a photo stop with views across the entire plateau. Then you'll head to the Egyptian Museum to walk through thousands of ancient artifacts and King Tutankhamen's treasures. By evening you're back at your hotel.

Cairo to Aswan
Following breakfast, you'll head to the airport for a domestic flight south to Aswan. Once you land, a transfer takes you to your hotel for check-in. This historic city sits along the Nile, and you'll have the evening to settle in. The order of visits in Upper Egypt might shift around, but you'll see everything that's scheduled.

Aswan
After breakfast, you'll board a 5-star Nile cruise before lunch. That afternoon and evening, you'll visit Philae Temple (dedicated to the goddess Isis), the Unfinished Obelisk in the Northern Quarries, and the Aswan High Dam. All your meals that day come from the cruise.

Aswan to Kom Ombo
The cruise sails toward Kom Ombo by lunchtime. This temple sits on a promontory right over the Nile and it's one of Egypt's unique sites because it was built for two gods at once: Sobek (the crocodile god) and Haroeris (Horus the Elder). You'll have breakfast, lunch, and dinner on board.

- Day 6
Kom Ombo to Luxor
You'll arrive at Edfu and explore the well-preserved Ptolemaic temple dedicated to Horus. Depending on when your cruise reaches Luxor, you might visit Karnak and Luxor temples today or push them to tomorrow. Karnak covers about 2 square kilometers with multiple sanctuaries, while Luxor Temple is a graceful structure built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are on the cruise.

Luxor
You'll leave the cruise and head to Luxor's west bank for some of Egypt's most important sites. You'll visit the Valley of the Kings with its 63 royal tombs, Queen Hatshepsut's dramatic mortuary temple carved into limestone cliffs, and the massive Colossi of Memnon. After sightseeing, you'll go to the train station. Breakfast and dinner are covered.

Luxor to Alexandria
After breakfast, your representative picks you up for a drive about 210 kilometers north to Alexandria. You'll see Pompey's Pillar, the massive Catacombs (a Roman cemetery with three levels), and grab lunch at a local restaurant. Then you'll drive the Cornish, cross Stanley Bridge, and visit the Qaitbay Citadel built where the ancient lighthouse once stood. Finish at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Return to Cairo for the night.
