Cochin to Athirappilly
You'll land at Kochi Airport and head to Athirappilly, a region known for dense forests, river systems, and waterfalls that define the landscape. After settling into your accommodation, the evening is free to wander around and get oriented. Athirappilly Waterfalls drops 80 feet through the Sholayar Range and carries the nickname 'Niagara Falls of India' because of its scale and power.

Athirappilly to Munnar
Following breakfast, you'll drive toward Munnar, positioned at 1800 meters elevation and home to South India's tallest peak. The route takes you past Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls, and then through working tea plantations where you can see the terraced slopes. By afternoon, Rajamala at Eravikulam National Park gives you a chance to spot Nilgiri Tahr mountain goats if you're lucky, and the Tea Museum provides context on the region's agricultural history. Later, a walk through Munnar town lets you see more of the tea estates up close before dinner.

After breakfast, you'll spend the full day checking out various viewpoints and attractions around Munnar. The itinerary includes Maduppatty Dam, Echo Point where you can test the acoustics, Kundalay Dam, and Pothenmedu View Point, each offering different perspectives of the landscape. Time for shopping in town fits into the afternoon, and you'll have the evening free before settling in for the night.

Munnar to Thekkady
Breakfast comes first at your resort, then you'll travel to Thekkady, also called Periyar, a well-known wildlife sanctuary covering a large area. After you check in and have lunch, an afternoon lake cruise on Periyar Lake starts around 2-3 PM, where you might see elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar, and other animals from the water. An elephant ride through the sanctuary happens in the late afternoon, and the rest of the evening is yours to relax.

Thekkady to Alleppey
Following breakfast, you'll check out and drive to Alleppey. Once you arrive and get settled into the resort, a boat cruise through the backwaters becomes the centerpiece of your day. Cruising past villages and paddy fields shows you daily life in Kerala from the water, and you'll spend time on a houseboat, which provides a different way to experience the region before returning to the resort for dinner.

Alleppey to Cochin
After breakfast and checking out, you'll head to Cochin to explore its layered history. The Dutch Palace was originally built by the Portuguese in 1557 and later renovated by the Dutch after 1663, and it contains noteworthy murals throughout. The Jewish Synagogue in Mattancherry dates to 1568 and ranks as the oldest in the Commonwealth, while St. Francis Church from 1510 holds the distinction of being India's oldest European church. The iconic Chinese Fishing Nets in Fort Cochin, brought here by merchants from Kublai Khan's court, are still used today, and Fort Cochin Beach offers a place to unwind.
