Is there a train from Ontario to the Rockies, if so how much for a two week all inclusive return trip. Can you take your pet with you?

The tour you booked starts in Calgary and ends in Vancouver. Please be informed that you will need to arrange your transportation to Calgary at the start of the tour independently.

Seems there were problems for folks being able to get food as hotels were not in convienint locations? Also, the activity level is rated "Moderate" where as some similar tours rating is "easy". What about the trip is moderate?

All our hotels are centrally located. The hotels on this trip are the Royal Canadian Banff Lodge, The Forest Park Hotel in Jasper, the Accent Inn in Kamloops and the Sheraton Wall Center in Vancouver. This trip is given a moderate rating due to the float trip on the Athabasca River, the walk on the glacier and the walks into a couple canyons (they trails are paved or planked).

What is the maximum group size this tour? Also, if we want to stay longer in Vancouver is that something you can help with?

The maximum group size of this trip is 24 travelers. If you require additional time in Vancouver, that is something that we can help with. We cannot guarantee that it would be at the group rate, but it is possible for us to help!

Is the train Journey overnight? and if it is, is a sleeper cabin included as part of the train journey, including meals?

The train journey is during the day. You are on the train for about 10 hours. Food is available for purchase and there is also a dining car.

What hotel on last night of 8 day Rockies by train?

It is the Marriott Pinnacle in downtown Vancouver.

Can this tour be available in July and can we start from the trip to Kamloops?

The next departure is August 26 for this tour. If you want to start in Kamloops, that is a possibility. However, the tour would not be pro-rated for unused services.

If the mode of land transportation is trains, do the trains make stops for us to walk and visit the sites? Or are we on the train from the time we leave the hotel until we return to the hotel by evening?

This trip includes the train for 1 day between Jasper/Kamloops. It is a 9 hour journey and make stops, but only to pick-up other passengers.

Overall a great tour. The outings were fantastic, and meals were great. Our tour director Loretta made the trip a real joy. Her enthusiasm, ownership, and committed care for our group was amazing. For example, she went to great lengths to ensure we had breakfast on the last day before our very early flight. The only negative was the changes in hotels from those listed in the brochure. That put a wrinkle in our plans for free time and dinners.Show more
