Looking for tour dates for 2026 June

2026 dates are due to be released in June/July

we like the look of this tour but want en suite accommodation, not shared facilities - is this possible?

Unfortunately you can't upgrade accomodation on this particualr tour. Part of the charm of this tour is the B&Bs. That being said most of the accomodation on this tour allows you to have your own ensuite. On this tour, you will stay in bed and breakfast properties (B&Bs). These are usually smaller residential properties, with just a handful of guest rooms. You'll have a bedroom, bathroom and often, access to a communal dining room for breakfast. Rooms will always be clean and comfortable, with a private bathroom. Bathrooms are usually en-suite, but on rare occasions, access may be via a communal hallway. This means that the bathroom will still be private and only for your personal use, but it is not en-suite (located in the room). You will need to leave the room to use the bathroom.

Could you please explain the beds in each of the rooms. For example are all rooms private and have private bathrooms. Does a double room have 1 double bed and a twin room have 2 twin beds and what do the other rooms consist of. We don't want to book the wrong room for our needs.

For our Outer Hebrides & Skye Explorer - 6 day tour you have chosen our Guest house option which includes 5 nights simple guesthouse. You are correct if you were to book a double room it would be 1 bed to share, compared to a twin room which would have 2 single beds. Is there any ability to hold spots on a tour for 48 or even 24 hours? and Also what is the physical activity level-is there hiking etc and over what distances

We aren't able to hold any space on this tour, the sooner you book the better. It's mostly a tour that has a lot of walking - there aren't any specific hikes.
