Itinerary
- Day 1
Oxford - Birmingham
Meet your Travel Director and the rest of the group this morning before heading west. First stop is Windsor to see the castle, the oldest and largest one still occupied in the world. From there, you'll drive to Oxford, where you can walk through the historic university colleges and check out the architecture that's been around for centuries. Then it's on to Birmingham for the night.

- Day 2
Liverpool
This morning you'll see Chester and the Roman city walls built in the first century. The black-and-white half-timbered buildings called 'The Rows' are worth a look around. You have the option to join a guided trip to Llangollen in North Wales if you want, or just wander Chester on your own. Later you'll head to Liverpool for the night, and the evening is free to explore the city's famous music scene and restaurants.

- Day 3
Lake District - Gretna Green - Glasgow
After leaving Liverpool, you'll drive north into the Lake District to see the landscape that inspired William Wordsworth. There's a Choice Experience available for a steam train ride from Haverthwaite to Lakeside followed by a cruise on Lake Windermere. From there you'll cross into Scotland at Gretna Green, where couples have been getting married over the blacksmith's anvil since 1754. You'll finish the day in Glasgow with an optional evening activity available.

- Day 4
Loch Lomond - Glencoe - Highland Hotel
Head north to Loch Lomond where you can choose to take a cruise looking for Rob Roy's cave. Later in the day you'll drive through Glencoe and its dramatic mountain scenery. You'll see the Commando Memorial and Ben Nevis, Britain's highest peak. In the afternoon, there's a Choice Experience at a Highland sheep farm where you can try your hand at shearing. Your hotel for the night is in the Highlands.

Pitlochry - St. Andrews
The drive through the Highlands takes you to Pitlochry on the Tummel River. You can explore this town on your own or join a Choice Experience to Blair Castle, home of the Duke of Atholl. Later you'll go to St. Andrews to see the 18th green at the famous golf course and grab a photo there. It's a good chance to walk around this historic golfing town as well.

- Day 6
Edinburgh
Start with a hearty Scottish breakfast including tattie scones to get ready for the day. You'll take a guided tour of Edinburgh with a local specialist, hitting the Georgian New Town, Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Royal Mile, and Edinburgh Castle. There's free time later to explore on your own or join an optional visit to Rosslyn Chapel or a deeper castle tour. If your departure date lines up, tickets to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo are included.

Hadrian's Wall - York
After Edinburgh, you'll head south through England. First you'll see Hadrian's Wall, the Roman fortification from the first century that marked the empire's frontier. Then you'll continue to York, where a local guide will take you through the medieval streets to York Minster, the 13th-century Gothic cathedral that dominates the city's skyline.

Stratford-upon-Avon - London
On your final day, you'll head to Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare. You'll see Anne Hathaway's cottage and have time to look around this historic town. Before heading back to London, the group will take one last photo together to mark the end of the trip. You'll say goodbye to your Travel Director and new friends as you return to the capital.
