- Day 1
Verona
You'll arrive in Verona and spend the day walking through the city center to see the main attractions. The Arena, a well-preserved Roman amphitheater, is a must-see, and you'll also check out the famous balcony associated with Romeo and Juliet. It's a good way to get oriented and soak in the medieval architecture scattered throughout the old town.

- Day 2
Verona to Parona di Valpolicella
This is your first hiking day, and it starts with a detour up to Castel San Pietro for wide views of Verona, the Valpolicella wine region, and Lake Garda beyond. From there, you'll walk along the Adige River through the old town, crossing past seven bridges before heading toward Parona, which marks your entry into wine country. The full hike covers about 13 km and takes roughly 4 hours, so you'll want to start early and take a break along the way.

Parona di Valpolicella to Fumane
Today you're hiking deeper into Valpolicella itself, moving through vineyards and passing Romanesque churches and historical buildings. You'll walk through the small villages of Corrubbio, San Floriano, and San Pietro in Cariano before finishing in Fumane. Expect about 16 km and 4 hours 30 minutes of walking, so bring water and wear good hiking shoes. The landscape here is pretty varied, mixing grape fields with stone villages.

Fumane - Circular Hike Valpolicella
This day is easier on the legs since it's a circular hike staying in one village area. You have options: either head to the Molina waterfall park or hike up to the Santa Maria di Valverde sanctuary and the small village of San Rocco. After working off some energy with around 12 km and 4 hours of walking, you'll visit a local wine cellar to taste Amarone and Valpolicella wines. It's a nice balance of activity and relaxation.

Fumane to Cavaion Veronese
Starting from Gargagnago, you'll walk to San Giorgio di Valpolicella, which sits on a hilltop overlooking the region. A stop at the Pieve church gives you views across vineyards on one side and Lake Garda on the other. From there, you continue through Ponton, known for marble processing, and finish in Cavaion Veronese near the lake. This one's a bit longer at 16 km and 5 hours, so pace yourself and enjoy the changing views as you walk.

Cavaion Veronese to Garda
You're heading toward Lake Garda now, walking through the town of Bardolino and noticing its historic San Zeno church and harbor. By late morning or early afternoon, you'll arrive in Garda itself, a typical lakeside town where you can relax for the evening. The 10 km walk takes about 4 hours, giving you plenty of daylight to settle in, have lunch, and maybe take a walk along the waterfront.
