Itinerary
- Day 1
Bucharest - Sinaia - Brasov
Your hotel pickup happens at 9:00 AM in Bucharest, and from there you'll drive through scenic mountain landscapes heading toward Sinaia. You'll start at Peles Castle, the former summer residence of Romania's Royal Family, where the architecture and grounds give you a real sense of royal history. After that, you're heading to Bran Castle, which you've probably heard of as the 'Dracula's Castle' tied to the Vlad the Impaler legend. The medieval Gothic architecture is impressive, and the whole place has that historical weight to it. Before wrapping up the day, you'll stop at Rasnov Fortress, a 14th-century citadel where you can take in panoramic views of the valley below. By evening you'll arrive in Brasov, and if timing works out, you can wander around Council Square and get a feel for the town.

- Day 2
Brasov - Sighisoara
You'll start with breakfast and then head through Transylvania to visit several important fortresses. Fagaras Citadel is your first stop, known for never being conquered. You'll then move through traditional villages to Rupea's archaeological site, which has evidence of Paleolithic and Neolithic settlements. For lunch, you'll have a hearty local meal in the Saxon village of Crit. Later, you'll reach Sighisoara, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with cobbled streets and colorful houses that's been inhabited since the 13th century. The afternoon includes time in the historic citadel and at Vlad Tepes' birthplace before settling in for the night.

- Day 3
Sighisoara - Sibiu
This morning you'll visit Richis to see a 500-year-old Gothic fortified church, then move on to Biertan with its large fortified church surrounded by three defensive walls, six towers and three bastions. Next is Alba Iulia, a city with over 2000 years of history highlighted by its impressive 18th-century star-shaped Vauban fortress. In the afternoon, you'll explore Corvin Castle, one of Europe's most striking Gothic castles with stone-carved dragons and impressive towers. You'll finish the day in Sibiu for an overnight stay.

- Day 4
Sibiu - Curtea de Arges - Bucharest
This day starts with a walking tour through Sibiu, where you'll see the strong Saxon heritage reflected in the historic buildings around the central square. You'll cross the famous Bridge of Lies and check out the old defensive walls that shaped the city's character. After exploring Sibiu, you'll drive through the dramatic Carpathian mountain scenery along the Olt River toward Curtea de Arges. There you'll visit the striking Orthodox cathedral, which serves as the burial place of Romania's kings and represents an important part of the country's history. By evening you'll head back to Bucharest, where the tour wraps up.
