Johannesburg to Kruger National Park
You'll leave Johannesburg behind this morning for a six-hour drive into Kruger National Park. The scenery changes noticeably as you head into the savannas and open ecosystems. Your lodge sits at the park's entrance, and tonight there's a welcome dinner with other travelers to get to know your group.

- Day 4
Game Drive - Big 5 Safari
You'll spend the full day on a game drive in an open-air vehicle searching for the Big 5 - lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalos. Bring your camera because you'll want to capture what you see out there. Around midday you'll break for a picnic lunch, then head back out into the afternoon to continue looking for wildlife. The vehicle gives you good visibility from all angles, so you have decent chances of spotting animals throughout the day.

Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park to Cape Town

Early this morning you're heading out in 4x4 safari vehicles toward the Maasai Mara, one of Kenya's top wildlife spots. The roads get bumpy and dusty, but that's part of the experience. Your tented camp has proper beds and en-suite bathrooms. This afternoon, you'll head out on your first game drive to see what the Mara offers.

Cairo to Luxor
Before sunrise you'll fly 75 minutes to Luxor. After arriving, you visit Karnak Temple, a sprawling 4,000-year-old complex with towering pylons and intricate obelisks. Then you board your Nile River cruise ship for your four-night voyage. Following lunch onboard, you'll have the afternoon to explore the ship. At golden hour, you'll take in views from the sundeck before dinner.
