  The Carnival official dates in 2027 will be February 5 to 10. If we follow the same program, the dates will be from Feb 3, Wednesday to Feb 11, Thursday. Windsor California is a 4-star boutique-style hotel. Pestana Rio Atlantica is not a 5-star but a 4-star property. As a 5-star hotel with attractive rates in this category, we recommend Hilton Rio Copacabana.

  About the favela tour, both favelas are safe to visit. For Rocinha, we only employ professionals who have permits, are licensed, and work with a local NGO, ensuring the safety of our clients. However, as per your request, we have changed the activity to the Babilônia favela.

  About the 'Carnival like a Native' experience (when the clients parade using the costumes). It is important to mention some remarks about this activity. Hours of Waiting Before the Parade: Guests must arrive at the concentration area several hours before entering the avenue. This means standing, waiting, and keeping your energy up while surrounded by thousands of other participants, with limited access to food, water, and restrooms. Staying hydrated and prepared is essential. The Costume: Costumes are elaborate, colorful, and mandatory, but they can also be heavy, warm, and sometimes uncomfortable. Once dressed, there is no turning back: you must wear it from start to finish. Singing Along (Even if You Don't Know the Words): Part of the judging is the energy and enthusiasm of the participants. Every person in the parade is expected to sing the samba-plot anthem. Foreigners often don't know the lyrics, but they are encouraged to pretend to sing, move their lips, and show passion, because every smile and gesture counts.

For tours departing after October 22nd, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Signature DMC. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
