Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Bogota
You'll arrive in Bogota and head to your hotel after landing. The rest of your day is yours to settle in and prepare for what's coming next. This is a good chance to grab dinner nearby and get some rest before exploring.


- Day 2
Bogota
Start at Paloquemo market early to walk through local produce and get a feel for the city's food culture. Head over to La Candelaria district afterward where you'll see colonial architecture and stop by the cathedral. Before lunch, check out the Botero and Gold museums. Later, take the cable car up to Santuario de Monserrate for the city views from above (the ride itself takes about 10 minutes each way).

Bogota to Pereira
Travel to Zipaquira to see the Salt Cathedral, carved 200 meters underground in a former salt mine with nice illumination throughout. After spending time there, you'll head back to Bogota and catch your flight to Pereira later that afternoon.

Salento - Filandia
From Pereira, head into the Central Mountains and Valle de Cocora for an easy hike through wax palm forest. You'll see Colombia's national tree and get a sense of the local flora and fauna around you. In the afternoon, walk around the colonial towns of Salento and Filandia, including a stop at a basket weaving workshop to watch artisans at work.

Spend the day exploring Pereira's coffee estates and landscapes, part of Colombia's Coffee Axis and a UNESCO-listed area. You'll visit a typical hacienda for a tour and tasting session with a master taster who'll explain what you're trying and why.

Pereira to Medellin
Travel to the airport and fly to Medellin, the hillside city perched in a valley. You'll get hotel time to refresh after the flight before evening activities or dinner.

Medellin
Your morning starts with a cable car ride up Cerro Nutibara for views across the city. Then walk through Fernando Botero sculptures and learn about Medellin's innovative transport system that connects suburbs to downtown. See street art around the city and participate in a musical experience. Later, watch a cooking demonstration and have lunch with what you've learned.

La Piedra del Peñol and Guatape
Travel to La Piedra del Peñol, a massive rock monolith once sacred to indigenous communities. The 700-step climb is optional but offers views of the large reservoir below if you decide to go up. After, head to Guatape with its colorful buildings and street life, then return to Medellin later in the day.

Medellin to Santa Marta

Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona
Head to Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona and walk through tropical forest to Sea of the Seven Waves, a natural viewpoint. After that, you'll stroll along golden sand with rainforest behind you, then board a boat to Playa Cristal for swimming in the clear Caribbean water (around 80°F/27°C).

Cartagena
