Fantastic experience of the wild.True wilderness.Helpfull guides and crew members allowed us to explore the Svalbard coast from a n exploration ship-The Plancius. What was the most inspirational moment of your trip? First sighting of a polar bear close up on the pack ice at 81Degrees 40' north. What did you think of your group leader? Very good.Experienced ,clear and keen to make every effort to show us the wilderness. Do you have any advice for potential travellers? Take plenty of warm outdoor cloathes including 2 pairs of waterproof trousers. Is there anything else you would like to add? Exceptional.Try to stay at The Radisson in Longyearbyr rather than any of the poorer accomodations prior to boarding the ship.Show more

Walking the Fjords was fabulous, the scenery magnificent & our hosts Anders & Bård were exceptional. Our group had Bård as our guide he was informative & whilst walking he always would walk back & check on the slower walkers. The accomodation at both Nes Gard & Fjåerland Fjorstove Hotel was great. I loved the quaint little rooms with sloping attic style ceilings. Anders has converted rooms that perviously housed farm animals into an underground wine bar & a bathroom attached to the breakfast room. Both locations provided exceptional meals with quality wine to compliment the food. I cannot speak highly enough about this trip, it was a wonderful introduction to Norway !!!Show more

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 120 days prior to the departure date of your tour.
