- Day 1
Ponta Delgada
Your plane touches down in Ponta Delgada and the Azores opens up before you. Grab a strong Portuguese latte macchiato to shake off the travel, then take time walking through the old town where you'll spot the iconic Portas da Cidade. From there, head to Jardim Botânico António Borges where tropical plants fill the space and hidden caves wait to be found. By evening, settle in at the harbor for a sundowner and watch the light change over the water.

- Day 2
Sete Cidades
Get your hiking boots ready because you're heading out early to Sete Cidades. Start at Miradouro Lagoa do Canário where the twin lakes sit below you, one blue and one turquoise in a way that seems almost unreal. After taking in those views, hike up to the crater rim for even broader perspectives across the landscape. Later, you'll drop down into Poça da Dona Beija's natural hot springs to relax your legs and soak in the warmth from the active volcano underneath.

Vila Franca do Campo
Make your way to Vila Franca do Campo for a day on the water looking for marine life. You'll board an eco-boat with guides and biologists who know where to find sperm whales, dolphins, and sea turtles in their space. The boat takes you around Princess Ring Islet so you can see the volcanic crater formation up close. After heading back to shore, walk through the old town and find a spot for local pastries, ideally somewhere with views from Miradouro Ilhéu da Vila looking out at the water.

Gorreana & Faial da Terra
Today takes you to Gorreana, where Europe's oldest working tea plantation spreads across 32 hectares of green fields. Starting from Faial da Terra, you'll trek jungle trails heading toward Salto do Prego waterfall, then swim in the pool beneath it to cool off. On the way back, you'll pass through the deserted village of Sanguinho, quiet and mostly untouched, before heading back to Ponta Delgada where dinner is waiting.

Lagoa do Fogo & Caldeira Velha
Begin at Miradouro da Lagoa do Fogo taking in the crater lake from above, one of the Azores' most notable ones. Walk down to the lake itself and spend time at the water's edge. Then move on to Caldeira Velha Nature Park where natural hot springs and pools let you swim surrounded by jungle. You'll find a natural waterfall there too, so you can stand under it and let the water run over you like a spa treatment.
