Itinerary
- Day 1
Bucharest to Magura
You'll arrive at Bucharest Airport and get transferred to Villa Hermani in Magura village, about 170km away which takes roughly 3 hours and 30 minutes by road. The group transfer works well here, so check with your sales rep about the exact timing. Since you're getting in late, dinner tonight is just a light snack to keep things relaxed.

- Day 2
Magura - Ascutit Peak Trail Day 1
The two-day Ascutit Peak Trail hike starts today from Villa Hermani through Piatra Craiului National Park. You'll head down to Botorog Fountain and then walk through forests and alpine meadows to reach Piatra Mica summit at 1,816m, where you get 360-degree views all around. After that comes some rocky terrain where you'll use ropes for safety before arriving at Cabana Curmatura for the night.

- Day 3
Ascutit Peak Trail Day 2
You'll finish the Ascutit Peak Trail after breakfast, making your way to Turnu Peak through forest and a viewpoint. Then it's rocky terrain again with rope assistance as you follow the ridge up to Ascutit summit at 2,133m. The descent takes you through forests and pastures, and by the end of the day you're back at Magura and Villa Hermani.

Plaiul Foii - La Om
Drive one hour to Plaiul Foii, then hike to La Om, the highest peak in the national park at 2,238m. The La Lanturi trail goes through meadows and forest before opening up to alpine rocky areas with exposed sections and chains to help you along. You'll descend through alpine meadows past Grind shelter and La Table meeting point, then through forest to Pestera village before heading back to Magura.

Piatra Mare
After a one hour drive, you'll reach the base of Piatra Mare at 1,884m and start hiking up via gravel paths and forest lanes. The Seven Ladders Canyon is the highlight here, a rocky path with waterfalls and metal ladders fixed right into the steep gorge walls. Once you summit Piatra Mare, you'll come back down a different forest route to where you started.

Cabana Gura Diham to Cabana Malaiesti
You'll drive one hour to Cabana Gura Diham on the east side of Bucegi mountain. From there, marked forest trails lead you to Poiana Pichetul Rosu meadow where several trails intersect. Take the Ionescu Trail heading to Cabana Malaiesti, which serves as your base for tomorrow. Spend the evening taking in the wild character of the Malaiesti Valley.

Cabana Malaiesti - Omu Peak
Today you're summiting Omu Peak at 2,505m, one of Romania's highest mountains. Starting from Cabana Malaiesti, you'll go through the valley then tackle Brana Caprelor, a narrow path hugging what looks like a vertical wall of Bucsoiu mountain. You'll summit Bucsoiu, walk the ridge to Omu Peak, then descend through alpine meadows and forest to Simon village where a transfer takes you back to Magura.
