Had a seamless booking. Communications prompt. Tour was adapted according to our needs and where "Mother Nature" involved, thanks to Traian. Traian, our guide, is friendly and gave us options where required eg additions to our tour or places to eat. Quoting our kids, "He is chill". Adventure trip to Transylvania in 3 days from Bucharest (small group tour)Bianca is a wonderful guide and driver. She got us to all the sites listed on the tour and took the time to be sure to get us there at the least busy time so we could see things in a leisurely way. She is very knowledgeable about Romania and could answer any question we asked. Very friendly and easy to talk with. The accommodations are very nice, especially Casa (can't remember the name) in Turda. The homemade food and wine by Adianna in Sibui (or Sibiel) was very good. Staying within the medieval fortress of Sighsasoari was interesting and the breakfast was nice. The room in Brasov was comfortable and the hosts, Lilly and TB, were very nice to chat with. Overall, the tour was excellent.

Summer's long days let us pack plenty into our Transylvania tours - you get castle visits, village exploration and outdoor activities all in one. The cycling routes are particularly good now, especially through Piatra Craiului National Park and rural backroads. Many of our guests love how we mix things up - you might start at Corvin Castle in the morning then spend your afternoon hiking mountain paths or meeting rescued bears at the Libearty sanctuary. When the Transfagarasan highway opens in July, our guides take you along one of Europe's most impressive mountain drives between cultural stops.

Fall brings out Transylvania's character with medieval towns framed by the Carpathians' autumn colors. Our travelers often join in with harvest activities in the villages - helping collect grapes for wine or preparing traditional winter preserves with local families. The cultural visits get special touches this time of year with private access to historic buildings, tastings in ancient wine cellars and visits to working artisan workshops. Winter really shines for cultural touring in Transylvania when the big crowds thin out. Our small groups get to explore Peles Castle, Bran Castle and other sites with much more space to themselves. The medieval towns look particularly good with a dusting of snow - you'll get excellent photos in Brasov's Council Square and walking across Sibiu's Bridge of Lies. Many of our travelers tell us how the Gothic chambers of Bran Castle feel properly atmospheric in winter, especially during our private after-hours visits when you practically have the whole place to yourself. The early sunsets and crisp air really add to that mysterious castle mood.
