Magical five days mostly in Saxon Transylvania, visiting beautiful fortified churches, castles and driving through the summer countryside counting storks in the fields and on practically every chimney. The bear sanctuary in Zarnesti was one of the highlights, as was stunning Peles castle and the medieval town of Sighisoara. A bit intense as we had to pick up and drive each day, but our guide Bogdan was a true gem, patient, flexible, and wonderful company. Would have liked more time in nature but that would be a different tour entirely. Just note that entrance fees to the sights are not included and they add up but it's a pleasure donating to the restoration efforts.
This trip exceeded my expectations. I was intrigued with the Halloween party at the Bran Castle, however the trip was so much more. An adventure of a life time thanks to our tour guides Vlad & Georgiana. I highly recommend this tour company. You will not be disappointed.

Romanian Thrills offer a fabulous and unique experience. My husband and I took the Romanian Epicurean tour which Vlad and Georgiana agreed to take just the two of us. They are such professional, knowledgeable guides that are attentive and caring. It was a pleasure to spend 1 week with them. Each day was a new experience, covering all aspects of wine tasting and local food specialities as well as visiting fabulous old towns. Now is the time to visit Romania with Romanian Thrills, before it is discovered and overrun by the hoards of Western European tourists.
