I am really interested in this tour. I know if I want to go the Halloween party at Bran Castle that will be extra. I noticed the party this year was on Saturday 1 November. Does this mean next year it will be on Saturday too - meaning 31 October. And if so could you secure the ticket or would it be up to me. Also would you be able to accommodate the fact I might not leave the party until 4am!

The Halloween Party will probably take place on October 31st next year, but please stay tuned to the official Bran Castle website for updates and online ticket sales. No problem at all if the party goes on until 4 a.m.! Just keep in mind that you'll probably miss the Sunday program. However, we can arrange a private transfer to Brașov for you at a cost of 60 euros.

Take the trip! Transylvania is gorgeous, and my only regret is not staying longer. Charlie is a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable, personable, and funny. You'll see medieval towns, castles, and the mountains. It was very peaceful, and the local cuisine is delicious. It's like no place I've ever been. Highly recommend. My only caveat is that American travelers will want to work out their flights and check in with the tour company to make sure it works for that week. Only one transport to and from the airport is covered by the tour cost. We ended up having to pay extra because our flights didn't line up with the other travelers, but it was a reasonable expense. Flights to and from Bucharest seem to get canceled and changed often. That being said, the trip was 100% worth it, and the tour company found us reliable transport.Show more

This was the best private tour we've ever had! We signed up for a 5-day private tour of Romania with pickup and drop-off in Bucharest. Coordinating and planning with the tour operator (Active Travel) was straightforward and easy. We provided a list of our preferred destinations and the tour operator quickly put together an itinerary. We made a few tweaks and within only a few days from initial contact we were booked. In Romania, we were provided the perfect guide for the excursion. He (Charlie) arrived early to our hotel lobby and met us there as prearranged. He was immediately interesting and accommodating. Throughout our five days together our guide was educational and delightful. He was an excellent host for Romania. He provided lots of details about the country, its people, history, and current status. He also provided lots of details about each place we visited. He was patient, attentive, and always willing to do more. Regarding the accommodations arranged for us, they were all wonderful!
