Is it safe if no one else books for my tour dates in October? What happens if I'm the only traveler?

We have three possible options if you are the only traveler: 1. Wait one more month to see if others join, 2. Operate the tour privately with a price increase, 3. Proceed with a full refund.

What time does this tour end on August 17 and can we be dropped at airport OTP?

This tour is ending on August 17th. The estimated time for the drop off at the OTP airport is 6 PM.

I would like to stay the night before the tour begins and the night it ends

We can add an extra night at a price of 90 EUR per night. However, for that day, which is a Friday, we don't have a guaranteed departure; only a scheduled one. We require at least two people for this tour to run.

I am confused, what is happening with this tour?

We do not have any other participants for this date, and we will not be able to run the tour as scheduled. Please proceed with your refund request through TourRadar.

Do we need to arrange our own accommodation in Bucharest?

Yes, you will need to book your own hotel in Bucharest, as accommodation is not included in the tour.

How easy is it to use debit/credit cards in the places we will visit?

Using debit and credit cards is very easy, as card payments are widely accepted in Romania.

I would like to know what time does this tour ends in Bucharest on the may10th. I will have a flight from international airport at 8 pm nd i wonder what time we will arrive in Bucharest.

The returning time is about 6 PM and we can drop off you directly at the airport.

The extra night accommodation can be added either before or after the tour, and you are welcome to add as many nights as you like. The tour itself was beyond expectations, and our guide Claudia was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met. The itinerary was full of geographic, cultural and food variety. We loved eating at diverse places, some with local families, some in amazing restaurants. The scenery was breathtaking and the history very interesting. Our guide Ioana was a lively lady with knowledge of history and good driving skills. She made us feel like family. She looked after us making sure our accommodation was appropriate and negotiated starting times according to our needs. Overall the tour was an incredible experience. We believe Romania is a best kept secret. Go see it and experience discovering it! The only drawback was that the tour price did not include many of the meals or entry fees to places so we had to have cash in hand for these because also some places didn't take credit card or Euros.Show more

Anne is a terrific guide, from explaining the complex history of the region to giving us recommendations about good places for vegetarians to find food and things to do during the evenings. The hotels we stayed in were interesting and very central to the towns we visited. Rolandia Tours office was very responsive to my questions and resolved minor issues promptly. Me & my fiancee have just recently returned from our 4 days Transylvania Castles Tour of Romania , which we thoroughly enjoyed, we were accompanied by our very knowledgeable and expert guide George Buliga, George took the time to show us the best parts of romania including places like Sibiu, Biertan, Sighisoara, Alba Iulia, Brasov etc. George also took the time to explain the history behind the towns and cities we visited, nothing was to much trouble. The accommodation throughout the tour was good the 3 main hotels which are , The Atria, Hotel Mecure, Continental Forum, all had great rooms and offered lovely Continental breakfast with a variety to choose from. The tour itself was at a good pace you never felt that you were rushed and got decent time to see places between visits. - For any tour departing before May 16th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 16th, 2026, a minimum payment of $120 is required to confirm your booking with Rolandia. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Rolandia will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Rolandia" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
