- Day 1
Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp
Your Mount Kilimanjaro trek starts at Londorossi Gate where you'll meet your guide and begin walking through thick rainforest. The lower slopes are lush and green, quite different from what you'll see higher up. By afternoon you'll reach Mti Mkubwa Camp, your first camp at around 2,780 meters. This first day lets your body start adjusting while you're still in the trees.
