Itinerary
- Day 1
Cochin
You'll land at Cochin airport where your representative meets you with a traditional Indian welcome and helps get you settled at your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to do as you like, whether that's taking a walk around the city, resting up from your flight, or just relaxing at the hotel. It's a good chance to adjust to the time zone and get your bearings before things pick up.

- Day 2
Cochin to Munnar
Start your morning exploring Cochin with a city tour that takes you through historic churches and palaces. The spice market here is worth spending time in, with all those aromas filling the air. After grabbing lunch, you'll drive through scenic mountain landscapes heading toward Munnar. This hill station sits surrounded by tea plantations and mountain streams, so the drive itself gives you nice views of the changing terrain as you head up into the hills.

Munnar
Following breakfast, a half-day tour shows you the tea estates that sit at high altitudes, rolling hills, and Eravikulam National Park where Nilgiri Tahr mountain goats roam. The afternoon is yours to wander around Munnar's scenery, check out local markets, or just relax at your hotel.

Periyar
Today you head to Periyar Wildlife Reserve, which sits on a beautiful lake and is the main wildlife sanctuary in South India. The area has tigers, leopards, elephants, bison, antelopes, sambhar, wild boar, monkeys, and lots of bird species to spot. You can walk around the reserve and there are optional activities on the lake if you're interested in getting out on the water.

Periyar - Kumarakom
Start your morning with an elephant safari through Periyar, then move on to a spice plantation tour where you'll smell and learn about the different spices grown in Kerala. After that, you'll take a boat ride on Periyar Lake surrounded by thick forests and wildlife. Later in the day, you drive to Kumarakom and check into your hotel there. Kumarakom is on Vembanad Lake and it's basically a backwater paradise with mangrove forests, coconut groves, and rice paddies all around. Once you're settled, you can spend time boating, fishing, or exploring the calm backwaters.

Kumarakom Backwater Cruise
After breakfast, head to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary where cormorants, teals, ducks, darters, night herons, egrets, and Siberian storks gather. From there you'll reach the jetty and board a traditional houseboat for a cruise on Vembanad Lake, seeing village life along the backwaters as you travel toward Alleppy.

- Day 7
Alleppy to Kovalam
You'll leave the houseboat at Alleppey in the morning and drive south to Kovalam, situated at India's southernmost point and known for its beaches. Two main beaches here are separated by a cliff, and you'll find numerous Ayurvedic salons and wellness resorts throughout the area.

Kovalam
This day is completely free for what you want to do. Relax on the white sand beaches or try Ayurvedic therapy treatments at one of the local resorts. It's your time to unwind however you prefer.

Landmarks Kovalam Beach - Day 9
Trivandrum & Departure
Your half-day sightseeing tour of Trivandrum covers Padmanabha Swami Temple, Napier Museum with archaeological artifacts and bronze idols, Sri Chitra Art Gallery featuring Indian and Mughal paintings, and the beautiful Horsu Palace. After the tour, you'll head to Trivandrum Airport for your onward flight.
