Nice to Arles
You'll arrive in Nice and connect with your Emerald Cruises team for the transfer to Arles. Once you board the contemporary Star-Ship, settle into your cabin and join everyone for a welcome reception and dinner to meet your fellow travelers.

Arles
A guided tour takes you through ancient Arles, where you'll see the UNESCO-listed 2,000-year-old Amphitheatre that once hosted chariot races. Your guide will walk you through Vincent van Gogh's connection to the city and how it inspired works like 'Starry Night Over the Rhône'. After that, you'll have free time to wander around and explore on your own.

Avignon
You'll head into Avignon to learn about its remarkable past as home to seven Popes during the 1300s. A walking tour guides you through the Gothic Palais des Papes, a UNESCO site, and the fortified town that played a key role in the French Revolution. By evening, you'll attend a classical concert.

Mâcon
You'll have a relaxed morning sailing on the Saône River toward Mâcon. From there, you'll explore the Beaujolais wine region, known for its vibrant, fruity red wines made from the Gamay grape. You'll learn about why red wine makes up 99 percent of the region's total production.

Lyon

Paris
