Ruhpolding
Your tour kicks off with your first night in Maiergschwendt, a suburb of Ruhpolding, or directly in Ruhpolding if that works better for you. This gives you a chance to settle in and get ready for the hiking ahead.

Landmarks Ruhpolding - Day 2
Ruhpolding to Inzell
You'll hike the SalzAlpenSteig trail through the Chiemgau Alps, starting from Ruhpolding and heading toward Inzell. The route follows along Rauschberg mountain's base and takes you past Taubensee lake, then through forested areas where you'll pass the Fahrriesboden chapel and Schmelz before arriving in Inzell. You'll stay overnight in either Schmelz or Inzell.

Inzell to Bad Reichenhall
This stage involves a more difficult hike from Inzell through moorland and meadows to the Weißbach Falls. You'll follow the Weißbach through its gorge, continue to Lake Thumsee, then climb over Bürgermeistr höhe above Kirchberg to reach Bad Reichenhall by evening.

Bad Reichenhall to Berchtesgaden
After taking the train to Bischofswiesen, you'll hike to Königssee lake by way of the Grünsteinhütte hut, which offers nice panoramic views. From there, catch a public bus to Berchtesgaden for your overnight stay.

Berchtesgaden
