You'll arrive at Istanbul airport and get transferred to your hotel. After checking in and settling into your room, you're on your own to wander around the city however you like. Meet up with your group at 6PM in the hotel lobby for a welcome meeting.

Istanbul
This morning starts with a guided tour hitting Istanbul's main landmarks. You'll head to the historic Hippodrome to see the ancient obelisks and columns, then move on to the Blue Mosque with its detailed tilework and minarets. After grabbing lunch with authentic Turkish food, you'll check out the Hagia Sophia and its impressive dome and mosaics, ending at the Basilica Cistern underground.

You'll walk down Istiklal Avenue through Beyoglu to reach Galata Tower, finishing at the Egyptian Bazaar for spices, teas, and local treats.

Istanbul to Cappadocia
Head out on a 5-hour drive to Ankara, Turkey's capital, to visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk. After lunch, continue driving about 3.5 hours to Cappadocia and check into your hotel. You'll have the rest of the day free to do what you like.

Cappadocia
Explore Cappadocia's rock formations starting at Dervent Valley with its unusual shapes.
