Itinerary
- Day 1
Germany to Windhoek
You'll depart from Germany on a scheduled flight heading to Windhoek. This is your travel day to kick off your Namibian adventure, so pack accordingly and plan for a long day of flying.
- Day 2
Windhoek Arrival
After landing in Windhoek during the evening, an English-speaking driver will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. You'll have the rest of the night to settle in and get some rest after your flight.

Windhoek to Kalahari Desert
Your German-speaking tour guide (who speaks both German and English) will pick you up in the morning. From there, you're heading toward the Kalahari, one of the world's largest sand deserts known for its distinctive rust-red dunes. Once you reach the resort, you'll have free time to explore the area on your own.

Landmarks Kalahari Desert - Day 4
Kalahari to Fish River Canyon
Today you'll drive to Quiver Tree Forest near Keetmanshoop, named after the local people who used hollowed branches as arrow quivers. You'll check out the 'Giant's Playground' at Gariganus Farm with its massive rocks that look like they were stacked by giants. After that, you'll continue to your lodge near Fish River Canyon with time to walk around the surrounding landscape.

Fish River Canyon to Lüderitz
You'll head past Naute Dam toward Lüderitz, stopping at a distillery if you'd like a tasting or coffee (costs extra). At Garub, you'll get a chance to see wild horses in the desert. Then you'll drive along the 'Great Bay' to Diaz Point for ocean views before reaching your guest house in Lüderitz for the evening.

- Day 6
Lüderitz to Namib Desert
This morning brings a visit to Kolmanskop, a ghost town in Sperrgebiet National Park where Namibia's first diamonds were found. You'll drive through Helmeringhausen and along the Tiras Mountain to your desert lodge near some of the tallest sand dunes around. The afternoon is yours to relax, and there's an included sundowner safari plus optional pool access.

- Day 7
Namib Naukluft National Park
You'll head out at sunrise into Namib Naukluft National Park to see the surreal desert landscape. After climbing one of the dunes, you'll visit Sesirem Canyon. This is the oldest desert in the world, stretching about 2000 km along the coast with incredible landscapes including the dried-up Tsauchab River that disappears into the sand.

Namib Desert to Swakopmund
Next, you're traveling to Walvis Bay where thousands of flamingos gather in the lagoon behind Pelican Point sandbank. You'll see pelicans, Damara terns, dolphins, whales and South African fur seals in the Atlantic. The drive to Swakopmund takes you through the scenic Kuiseb Valley between sea, sand dunes and mountains. Later, you'll go on a catamaran cruise from the coastal town.

Swakopmund
Swakopmund is yours to explore on your own today. The beach promenade feels like a German Baltic resort with well-preserved colonial buildings like the Old Prison, Hohenzollern House and Swakopmund Hotel. You can wander through art galleries, browse craft markets, check out the museum and grab coffee at one of the local cafés. There are optional activities available too, like a day trip or scenic flight over the desert.

Swakopmund to Damaraland
You'll pass by the Brandberg massif (rising up to 2,600 meters) and continue north into Damaraland, where desert elephants, desert lions and black rhinos roam. The drive takes you through impressive landscapes with unusual mountains and wide stony plains that see few people or settlements. After you arrive at the hotel, you'll have free time to settle in.

- Day 11
Damaraland Wildlife Exploration
An early morning drive takes you to Otjimboyo and Ugab regions where the landscape shifts from desert to rugged canyons, rock formations and dry riverbeds. You'll catch the sunrise over Brandberg massif and take a break under a camel thorn tree for a light snack. If you're fortunate, you might spot desert elephants out feeding.

Damaraland to Etosha National Park
Today you're heading to your camp in Etosha National Park, Namibia's largest nature reserve (established in 1907). You'll go on a game drive in a closed vehicle where you might see the Big Five (elephants, rhinos, leopards, lions and buffalo) plus over 130 other mammal species including giraffes, zebras, hippos and monkeys.

- Day 13
Etosha National Park
You'll spend the day on a guided game drive through Etosha to discover African wildlife. The drive takes you out to the Etosha salt pan, a massive expanse of white salt deposits that was once a large inland lake. The park's name comes from the Ovambo language and means 'great white place.'

Etosha National Park Wildlife
This morning, you'll watch for wildlife at waterholes from a closed vehicle. In the afternoon, you'll switch to an open off-road vehicle for a different perspective on Africa's animals. Etosha is home to more than 110 mammal species and 340 different bird species, so there's plenty to see.

Etosha to Windhoek
You'll head back to Windhoek, stopping at the craft market in Okahandja to pick up souvenirs if you want. From there, you'll check into your hotel for your final night in Namibia.

Windhoek to Germany
A driver will take you to the airport for your return flight to Germany. You'll carry plenty of memories and impressions from your time exploring Namibia.

You'll land back in Germany today, bringing with you all the impressions and experiences from your Namibian journey.
