Absolutely! If anyone in your group prefers not to do the camel ride, we offer a 4x4 jeep transfer to and from the desert camp at no extra cost. This way, everyone can comfortably reach the camp and enjoy the full Sahara Desert experience.

Is it possible to extend this tour and personalize it as follows: - add Mt Toubkal hike to the top for 2 people, while the other 2 will wait/spend time in the closest destination at the foot of the mountain. - add seeing Ouzoud waterfalls - add visiting/surfing lesson for 2 (while 2 wait) at Taghazout /Essaouira. The original tour is for 9 days but we are arriving Aug 22 (10 am) and departing Sept 4 (4 pm) so we have some extra days that we would like to use as per above. Please do not remove any items from the original tour but let us know if above is possible and total extra cost. If there are any other adventures/unique activities that you can suggest, please let me know.

We would be delighted to customize your trip. Since your tour runs for 9 days and you will be in Morocco from August 22 to September 4, you have approximately 4 additional days available that we can use for extra activities. Adding a visit to Ouzoud Waterfalls and spending time in Essaouira (including a surfing lesson for 2 travelers while the other 2 relax and explore the town) would fit very well within the available time. Regarding Mount Toubkal, the summit trek normally requires 2–3 days including transfers and acclimatization, and it is a physically demanding hike to 4,167 meters. Since your schedule already includes the full 9-day itinerary and the additional activities requested, fitting the Toubkal ascent comfortably may be difficult. As an alternative adventure, we would highly recommend a sunrise hot air balloon experience in Marrakech, which is one of the most memorable activities in Morocco and can easily be added without affecting the rest of your trip.

Yes, we can arrange an Essaouira extension for you on 24 October 2026. Let us know your preferred number of nights, and we'll take care of it.

How much spending money and in what currency do you recommend that we bring with us to pay for meals, entrance tickets and tips?

For spending money during your 9-day private morocco tour, most travellers find that €300–€450 per person for the entire trip is comfortable. This usually covers: Lunches (all breakfasts are included, and two dinners are included during the tour), Entrance fees to monuments, Tips for local guides, drivers, and service staff, Small personal purchases. We recommend bringing Euros (EUR) or US Dollars (USD), as both are easy to exchange in Morocco. Once here, your driver can help you stop at a reliable exchange office. You can also withdraw Moroccan Dirhams (MAD) from ATMs for daily use.

We had a fabulous time on this tour for a number of reasons, the scenery was spectacular , the people were very friendly towards tourists and our driver Uthman (please excuse me if I have spelt his name incorrectly) was an exceptional driver. We covered many miles as expected during the 9 days and he kept us safe and comfortable. Our tour guide Ismail always ensured that we were happy with our accommodation and if we had any issues he would take care of them. The local tour guide in Fez , Mohammed was wonderful, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. We spent 5 hours in his company and learnt so much. Our other local tour guides were also great and informative. Accommodation was absolutely fine, stand outs were our night in the Sahara Desert at "Arabian nights desert camp" what an impressive young man Ayoub is who was managing the camp, he was so pleasant and accommodating he could not do enough for us.The Riad Jeanne in Fez managed by Ish was lovely and again a very pleasant man and we were grateful to have 2 nights there. There were 4 of us on this tour and we are all in our 70's, be prepared for some long days on the road driving, we were aware of this prior to the tour because of the itinerary and mileage provided in the details of the tour, the scenery is spectacular so sit back and enjoy it. The temperature was averaging 40 degrees every day , some days higher so pick a time of year that's cooler if you don't like the heat. Unlike other tours we have been on in other countries don't expect your tour guide to be with you all the time when you arrive in the various cities you will have a local tour guide for this, or expect him to provide a huge amount of information whilst you are travelling. He will ensure that each stop whilst travelling is somewhere where there are clean restrooms and a safe place to eat or drink and as I mentioned before, he will deal with any issues you may have. It's just different from what you would expect other tour guides to provide. All in all we had an exceptional tour and very grateful we had such wonderful time and went with this company.Show more

A great tour from start to finish. Our guide, Abdul, was absolutely exceptional. Knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely invested in making our experience memorable. He went above and beyond. When he found out it was my birthday, he quietly arranged for a cake and surprised me with it at our desert camp. It was such a thoughtful, personal touch that made my birthday extra special. We covered a lot of ground and the local guides at each stop were great. What I appreciated most was the practical advice. They knew exactly where to go and what to avoid, which made the whole experience feel a lot more authentic. The riads were beautiful and the staff at each one were warm and attentive. Excellent service and response to issues that arose in the prep and during the trip. The driver, Yousef, and the guide, Ishmael, were fantastic. Yousef was an excellent, safe driver and Ishmael was a friendly and very knowledgeable guide, with good command of English. There was just the four of us for the week. Quality of transport was excellent. The rooms were good - the last two in Tangiers and Casablanca were excellent. The only reason this review isn’t 5 star is the quality of rooms in a couple of locations - Marrakesh and Chezchouan come to mind. Although both immersed you in local culture, it is reasonable to expect taps that work and hot water. And those that include 5 flights of stairs to get to the breakfast patio can be a challenge for guests in their 70’s. The special day guides were excellent and worthwhile. The night in the tents in the desert was the highlight of the trip. Excellent accommodation, food, cultural experience, the camels!!! Can’t say enough. A great trip that covered most of Morocco. Well organised trip from start to finish. We had a private tour and our driver Abdul was punctual, polite and helpful throughout, recommending sensible changes to the itinerary and accommodating our wishes to visit particular museums etc. As the trip covers all the "must-see" sites, there is understandably a lot of time spent in the car but worth it to see the rich variety of countryside and culture that Morocco has to offer as a one-hit holiday. The Riad accommodation was excellent throughout, the two, out of Medina, Business Hotels in Tangier and Casablanca, less enjoyable, but that was only 2 nights out of 8. The stay in the desert was the highlight.Show more

From the bustling Medinas of Marrakesh and Fez to the calm and magic of the Sahara desert, the splendour of the Atlas Mountains, the Macaque monkeys in the forest, the Roman ruins of Volubilis, the Kasbahs, Mosques and Riads - it really has been a very special holiday. My lovely driver and guide Ismail looked after me so well and I felt totally safe with him. His driving was excellent. It was a shame there were no other people in the party, but how lucky was I to have my own private guide for eight days!Show more

While there are some scenic drives, the transport is comfortable and there are regular stops along the way. Is it possible to extend this tour and personalize it as follows: - add Mt Toubkal hike to the top for 2 people, while the other 2 will wait/spend time in the closest destination at the foot of the mountain. - add seeing Ouzoud waterfalls - add visiting/surfing lesson for 2 (while 2 wait) at Taghazout /Essaouira. The original tour is for 9 days but we are arriving Aug 22 (10 am) and departing Sept 4 (4 pm) so we have some extra days that we would like to use as per above. Please do not remove any items from the original tour but let us know if above is possible and total extra cost. If there are any other adventures/unique activities that you can suggest, please let me know.

  We would be delighted to customize your trip. Since your tour runs for 9 days and you will be in Morocco from August 22 to September 4, you have approximately 4 additional days available that we can use for extra activities.
  
  Adding a visit to Ouzoud Waterfalls and spending time in Essaouira (including a surfing lesson for 2 travelers while the other 2 relax and explore the town) would fit very well within the available time.
  
  Regarding Mount Toubkal, the summit trek normally requires 2–3 days including transfers and acclimatization, and it is a physically demanding hike to 4,167 meters. Since your schedule already includes the full 9-day itinerary and the additional activities requested, fitting the Toubkal ascent comfortably may be difficult. As an alternative adventure, we would highly recommend a sunrise hot air balloon experience in Marrakech, which is one of the most memorable activities in Morocco and can easily be added without affecting the rest of your trip.

We recommend bringing Euros (EUR) or US Dollars (USD), as both are easy to exchange in Morocco. Once here, your driver can help you stop at a reliable exchange office. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
