Rome
This morning starts with a migrant-led walk through Rome, then the rest of the day is yours to explore however you like. Vatican City, Trastevere's winding streets, the Colosseum and Forum all make great options. If you want, grab gelato at Piazza Navona or pre-book a Vespa rental to get around like a local.

- Day 3
Rome to Montepulciano
Head out by train from Rome and transfer to Pienza, a charming town worth wandering around. Then it's on to Montepulciano in Tuscany where you'll get an orientation walk and try local wine. The medieval and Renaissance streets here have family-run shops selling pork, cheese, Pici pasta, and honey.

Montepulciano
Spend the day in Tuscany's countryside, which you'll recognize from the rolling hills and rural landscapes. You can tour vineyards with tastings, bike through the region, or travel further to the thermal springs at Bagni San Filippo if that interests you.

Montepulciano to Florence
Travel to Siena and start with an orientation walk around the medieval city. After that, you can see Torre del Mangia, Battistero, il Campo, and the Duomo on your own, or just wander and chat with locals. Later you'll head to Florence and walk up to Piazzale Michelangelo for views before checking out the Duomo, Piazza Indipendenza, Piazza della Signoria, and Ponte Vecchio.

Start with a guided walking tour of Florence that covers the history and local life here. Lunch happens at a local market, then you have the afternoon free. Check out Michelangelo's David at the Galleria dell'Accademia, the Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio, or the Medici Chapels. Another option is a wine tasting bike tour that goes up to Fiesole and the Chianti vineyards.
