Thank you Lima Tours for a trip well organised and with just the right pace to explore and enjoy iconic destinations in Peru. The hotels that we stayed in were 4-stars as advertised. The local guides were mindful of how we were coping with the high altitude and gave us really helpful tips. We had a fantastic trip that we will remember a lifetime. For what can be improved, we encountered a delay in our Machu Picchu tour as we waited for other groups to arrive so my suggestion is to put travellers on the same train so we get on and off at the same time. There was also the option to take the train from Machu Picchu station to Cusco so I think this should be offered as option for those who may be willing to pay a bit extra to get to Cusco without changing to a bus halfway.Show more

My holiday to Peru was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Machu Pichu does not disappoint even better in person than in photos and I loved Lake Titicaca and my visit to the islands. My fascinating and beautiful tour with budget semi guided Lima Tours was quite complicated logistically with lots of early starts and pick ups, drop offs to trains and buses, airports all with different guides and excursions often with 1:1 guided excursions or small English speaking groups. At times as a 60 year old out of shape man, while recognizing it was a bucket list experience - it was a bit of an endurance test - as the altitude really affected me (I was on Diamox and the Mara tea). If I was organizing this holiday again I would request more time in Cusco to acclimatize. Some of the excursions to sights like Ollantaytambo and Machu Pichu and the coach tour Cusco to Puno were very long days. The ruins were a bit scary sometimes no railings and vertigo inducing, particularly when going down. I was lucky that the weather in May was glorious and the guides were very efficient and all pick ups and drop offs were on time. The guides were very polite and friendly but their level of English was mixed but they tried hard to make my experience memorable. Miguel our guide at Machu Pichu was excellent. We had an excellent experience with LimaTours. Every guide and driver involved throughout our trip was courteous, professional, punctual, and extremely friendly. Their English was excellent, which made everything very easy and comfortable for us. The company organized all of the logistics seamlessly, so all we had to do was show up. They handled every detail behind the scenes and quickly ironed out any issues that arose along the way. The entire experience felt smooth, stress-free, and very well coordinated.
