Islamabad
You'll arrive in Islamabad and meet your CEO and fellow travelers at a welcome gathering this afternoon. After that, you're heading to Shah Faisal Mosque to catch the sunset and listen to the maghrib prayer. The mosque itself is quite striking architecturally, and the timing with the evening prayer makes it a meaningful way to start your Pakistan journey.

- Day 2
Islamabad to Khaplu
An early flight takes you north from Islamabad to Skardu, then you'll drive toward Khaplu. Along the way, the route includes stops in small Baltistan villages and a walk across the Keris Suspension Bridge. You'll spend time exploring local communities, then stop at Thoqsi Khar Fort, a nearly 700-year-old mosque sitting high on a mountain. By evening, your CEO will walk you through what's coming next: a five-day trek including route details, what to expect physically, and how to handle the high altitude.

Khaplu to Dunsa Campsite
You start with a guided tour of Khaplu Palace (called Yabgo Khar locally), the historic home of the Raja of Khaplu. From there, you'll visit Khanqah-e-Mualla, one of Baltistan's oldest mosques. In the afternoon, you drive to where the trek begins. Your first day on the trail is short, about an hour, taking you to camp at 3,530 meters. You'll warm up with hot drinks and settle in for dinner featuring local Pakistani dishes and some continental options in the mess tent.

Dunsa to May Sikhpa
You're up early for mountain sunrise and breakfast cooked at camp by local guides. Then you trek through Thallay Valley alongside villagers who live here. The walk takes you through green meadows, alpine flowers, and along small streams from Dunsa to May Sikhpa. The landscape keeps changing as you walk. After you reach camp and set up, you'll have some downtime. Boiled water is on hand throughout the day if you need to refill your bottles.

Landmarks Thallay Valley - Day 5
May Sikhpa to La Brangsa
Bird calls wake you on the mountain. You'll trek roughly 5 km today to La Brangsa High Camp, mostly through green meadows with one stream crossing. Local shepherds might be moving yaks or goats through their summer grazing areas, and you can stop to chat with them. After you arrive in the afternoon and camp is set up, you've got free time. Some people learn cricket from locals, others talk with the porters or just rest.

La Brangsa to Bukhma Campsite via Thallay La
Breakfast comes early because you're heading out at sunrise to summit Thallay La Mountain. The climb is steep and you'll gain about 620 meters. It's the kind of physical push that feels rewarding, especially doing it with other trekkers. The views from the top are expansive and rare for most tourists. After celebrating, taking photos, and catching your breath, you descend to Bukhma Campsite for your final night under stars. Dinner is hearty and celebratory with local Pakistani dishes.

Landmarks Thallay La - Day 7
Bukhma to Shigar
Your last day of trekking covers 14 km from Bukhma down to Shigar. The way down passes through mountain flowers, snow-capped jagged peaks, and glacial streams. You'll say goodbye to your guides and the support crew who got you through the trek. Once you reach Shigar, you relax at Shigar Fort, a converted historic building, and have refreshments. Your first night in a bed comes at a hotel in Shigar, and you'll have a warm group dinner with everyone.

Shigar to Islamabad
A morning flight gets you back to Islamabad. From the airport, you'll drive to Taxila to learn about Pakistani truck art, the hand-painted decorative trucks that showcase different ethnic groups and tell stories through their designs. You'll have tea at a truck-art inspired café and meet local artists. After that, you head to Melody Food Street for one final meal with your group before you finish.
