We booked a 14 days trip to northern Pakistan with Exploria. Choosing Exploria for the tour was the best decision we made. Their team of professional locals specially Ajmal and Majid did an excellent job in ensuring the smooth execution of the tour. Despite of the challenges regarding access to some of the destinations they wend above and beyond so we experience without any hassle. Our guide Asif and and driver Amjad did an amazing job during the trip. I would highly recommend everyone to book with Exploria Pakistan for anyone wishing to explore Pakistan.
Explore Northern Pakistan - Hunza, Skardu, and Nanga Parbat Base CampI had a wonderful trip with Rock Valley Tours Pvt Ltd. The whole trip is enjoyable. Both our guide Manzoor and driver Qasim are friendly and helpful. During the trip, we faced a small scale landslide which blocked our road. Manzoor and some other locals worked hard to clean up and resumed the traffic, so that we did not need to turn back and can go as scheduled.
11 Days Trek Nanga Parbat Base Camp & Hunza Gojal Valley PakistanThis was a truly magical adventure. Hunza has some of the most beautiful landscapes, but what really makes it special are the people. I've never felt so welcomed in a place before, nor have I ever seen such towering mountains, that too so close to camp. I had my reservations about traveling in Pakistan as a woman, but I was so, so wrong. I felt safe and well looked after the whole trip. I'm definitely coming back!

What our customers ask about Hiking & Trekking Tours & Trips in Pakistan
What are the best hiking trails in Pakistan for different skill levels?
Pakistan's hiking trails cater to all experience levels. For beginners the Fairy Meadows trek near Nanga Parbat takes 2-3 hours with gentle elevation gains and well-marked paths. Intermediate hikers can explore the Passu Glacier trek in Hunza Valley with its views of towering peaks. Advanced trekkers often take on the technical K2 Base Camp route across Baltoro Glacier which requires mountaineering skills and excellent fitness. A TourRadar traveler noted: "The trek offered breathtaking mountain scenery and was perfectly matched to our abilities."
What is the best time of year for hiking in Pakistan's different regions?
The prime hiking seasons vary across Pakistan's diverse regions. The Hunza Valley and Karakoram range welcome hikers from June to September with stable weather and temperatures between 20-25°C. For Fairy Meadows treks July through October provides clear mountain views. The Margalla Hills near Islamabad work best from October to March when the heat subsides. A TourRadar traveler noted about their Karakoram Highway trip: "The August timing was perfect for witnessing the stunning landscapes and glaciers in their full glory."
What accommodation options are available during multi-day treks in Pakistan?
Trek accommodations range from basic to comfortable across Pakistan's routes. K2 Base Camp trekkers sleep in quality dome tents at established campsites. The Hunza Valley offers hotels like Eagle's Nest in Duiker and Serena Hunza. Traditional wooden cottages dot the Fairy Meadows trek route. A TourRadar review confirms: "The camping equipment on our Gondogoro La trek was excellent and the rest houses in villages like Passu were clean and comfortable."
How do I prepare for high-altitude hiking in Pakistan?
Success on Pakistan's high peaks requires careful preparation. Begin cardio training 3 months before departure with loaded uphill hikes. Plan 2-3 acclimatization days in Skardu or Hunza Valley before attempting K2 Base Camp (5100m) or Gondogoro La (5585m). Pack altitude medication and factor in rest days as shown in the Shimshal Pass trek schedule. One TourRadar traveler shared: "The gradual ascent to Concordia with rest days was crucial for successful acclimatization."
What essential gear should I pack for a hiking trip in Pakistan?
Pakistan treks require reliable equipment: waterproof hiking boots warm layers including down jacket rain gear sleeping bag rated for -10°C trekking poles UV protection gear and a headlamp. High-altitude routes like Baltoro Glacier may need technical gear such as crampons. A TourRadar review emphasized: "Good quality hiking boots and trekking poles were absolutely essential for crossing the Baltoro Glacier and navigating rocky terrain near K2 Base Camp."
How much does a typical Pakistan hiking tour cost per day?
Daily costs for Pakistan hiking tours range from $175-360. Basic packages like the Patundas Trek start at $190 including simple lodging and meals. Premium tours with upgraded accommodations reach $360 per day. The K2 Base Camp trek typically costs $275 daily covering essentials.
