    Asked on January 10th, 2026

I am 59, my wife is 57, we are reasonably fit for our ages but we haven't done any trekking for example. Can we talk you more about the physical demands of the tour, how long the drives are between destinations etc?

    Tour Details
    • ExploriaOperatorWritten January 2026

This tour is the perfect choice for those with no prior trekking experience. The trekking portion—specifically the hike to Fairy Meadows and Nanga Parbat Base Camp—is completely optional. If trekking is not your preference, horses are available as an alternative. The trekking duration to Fairy Meadows is 3 hours, and from Fairy Meadows to Nanga Parbat Base Camp is 5-6 hours return. We have hosted guests over 70 years old on this trip, so you are good to go. The average daily driving time is around two hours, and all road journeys are scenic, passing through what is often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world, so you will hardly feel the distances at all. The only longer drive is the spectacular road journey to Khunjerab Pass, the world's highest border crossing connecting Pakistan with China. This drive takes approximately 5–6 hours, but it is truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, offering some of the most breathtaking views along the way. You will have several stops on the way to experience the Natural beauty of the Hunza valley. Please note that the Khunjerab Pass excursion is optional for guests who prefer to avoid longer road journeys. If you choose to skip this trip, your guide will arrange an alternative tour in Upper Hunza for the day.

    Asked on October 22nd, 2025

We are 2 strong hikers from Switzerland, and we would like to discover Pakistan. We are used to hiking 20km per day with elevation gains of over 1000m. Can you recommend a 10-13 day trek? We don't mind camping a few nights and would like to explore Islamabad and/or Lahore at the start or end of the trip.

We are specialised for adventure and in depth culture tours to Pakistan. We would love to curate a perfect adventure for you in addition to Islamabad and Lahore tour. Following are some of the most rewarding trekking destinations in Pakistan. 1. Nanga Parbat Base Camp trek 2. Rakaposhi Base Camp trek 3. Masroor Rock day hike 4. Patundas trek.

      TravelerWritten December 2025

Is this a private tour or a group one? And can you tell me how much time we will spend travelling by car?

    • ExploriaOperatorWritten December 2025

The quote is for a private tour, which is highly recommended as there won't be many people who will follow the same itinerary on the same days. The car travel time is mentioned on the respective days. The car road trips are scenic trips through the gigantic Karakoram ranges, and you will never feel tired or exhausted at all. The following are the major trips by car. 1. Skardu to Fairy Meadows transfer. 3-4 hours. Mostly scenic. 2. Fairy Meadows to Hunza transfer. 3 hours - scenic throughout 3. Karimabad to Hoper. 40 mins. Scenic road trip 4. Karimabad to Borith Lake. 40 mins. Scenic road trip.

    Asked on December 18th, 2024

What are the timeframe of year that are best to do the trek?

    Tour Details
    • ExploriaOperatorWritten December 2024

Each season has its own unique vibe, and from mid-March to the end of April, it's peak spring blossom season. This means you'll get to experience stunning flower fields and enjoy crisp, cool weather.

Which trek has gattian lake? also what do you mean by upgrading accommodations?

    • ExploriaOperatorWritten December 2024

Gattian Lake is in Kashmir which is a whole new valley far away from Hunza. The itinerary includes standard hotels to keep the tour affordable. With a private tour, you can upgrade to deluxe or luxury hotels for additional comfort.

      Kimberly

      TravelerWritten December 2024

Do you offer a tour near Kashmir? you are saying Hunza valley has better views than Kashmir?

    • ExploriaOperatorWritten December 2024

Yes we do offer tours to Kashmir valley. However, it is at times complicated for foreigners as we need to get special approvals. Hunza is very rewarding as it has multiple things to offer like beautiful mountain ranges, rich culture, friendly local community, and food.

Mid March to mid April anytime in between would be a good time. That would be the cherry blossom season. You can also travel in summers too in June and July.
