Yes, there would be some free time for fishing on a couple of days! The day the group goes to Carcross is a half day, and there will also be free afternoons in Dawson. Alternatively, if they wanted to come a day before the tour begins, or stay an extra day after, we could arrange an extra night for them at the hotel and that would give them a full day extra to fish.

Will there be any departures in May 2026? I will be travelling to Vancouver for work mid-May and would like to follow this up with a holiday. Spirit of the North would be my dream tour, but the earliest departure date of 6 June is hard to bridge from mid-May. I thought I'd better check on the off chance that additional earliest dates are possible.

Unfortunately the June 6 departure is our first scheduled tour of the summer season. However, we could potentially setup a different tour date for you, but we would probably have to apply a surcharge to do so. We need a minimum of 2 people to run a tour if it's booked directly with us, however, by booking through a 3rd party, the commission we pay would mean that we couldn't run it for 2 people. We could just have the surcharge added to the final balance, then if somebody else books that date, we can remove it and you will just pay the advertised price.

  I could be somewhat flexible with the tour date, within a week or so of May 18th would make most sense. How much would the surcharge roughly be? I would be travelling with a friend - pls include prices for 2 x single rooms, thanks!

  Actually I see you're usually starting on a Saturday - that would also work, Saturday 16th May. I am at a conference in Vancouver from 11-14th, so directly after that would be fine.

  We like to start or tours on a Saturday so people can just take 5 days off work for their trip, so Saturday May 23rd would actually fit nicely into our tour rotation as it would mean our guide could just start working 2 weeks earlier. The surcharge would be $250 each if nobody else books. As I mentioned though, this would only be added to your final balance payment should nobody else book by the time the balance is due to be paid, 60 days prior to departure.
