Arrival in Zanzibar
Your Lights on Africa representative meets you at Zanzibar Airport and takes you to your hotel. After the flight, you'll have time to settle in and get comfortable at your accommodation.

Stone Town and Changuu Island
A guided tour takes you through Stone Town's historic sites, including the former slave market, Cathedral Church of Christ, Palace Museum, House of Wonders, and Arab Fort. You'll walk through the markets to see the intricately carved doors up close. After grabbing lunch on your own, a local boat takes you to Changuu Island, about 30 minutes from Stone Town.

Jozani Forest and Jambiani Village
In the morning, you head to Jozani Forest to see red colobus monkeys and get some photos along the pathways. From there, Jambiani Village is next where you'll meet locals, visit a traditional herbalist learning about local medicines, and check out organic coral stone plantations and women-run seaweed farms. You'll return to the hotel by evening.

Spice Tour at Kizimbani Village
After breakfast, you're off to Kizimbani Village on Zanzibar's Spice Island. The tour covers more than 40 tropical aromatic plants that Oman Arabs introduced to the area. You'll see tropical fruits like jackfruits, breadfruits, carambola, pineapple, and lychees (when in season), plus plants such as henna, perfume trees, and lipstick trees. Spices on display include cardamom, cinnamon, clove, black pepper, and nutmeg.

Departure from Zanzibar
