Cardiff to Ireland
This morning you have the option to visit Cardiff Castle, a medieval fortress with centuries of history behind it. Then you'll drive through Welsh countryside past Carmarthen, the oldest town in Wales, to see Pembroke Castle where King Henry VII was born. After boarding a ferry across the Irish Sea, you'll arrive in Ireland.

Waterford to Tralee
Start by visiting the Waterford Crystal Showroom to see the delicate crystal the region is known for. Then you'll drive to Blarney Castle for the chance to kiss the Blarney Stone. Your route takes you past the Cork and Kerry Mountains through Killarney before arriving in Tralee, home to the annual Rose of Tralee International Festival.

Check out the dramatic Dingle Peninsula with its stone monuments, deserted beaches and pastures. You'll pass through small villages and colourful fishing harbours before reaching Adare, considered the prettiest village in Ireland. From there, continue to Limerick to see St. Mary's Cathedral and King John's Castle, then head to Shannon for dinner.

This morning, you have the option to visit the 15th-century Bunratty Castle and Folk Park to explore 19th-century Irish life. Then drive through the wild landscapes of County Clare to Galway to see its modern cathedral. Later you'll head to Dublin this evening, where an optional dinner and Irish show is available.

Dublin

The afternoon is free to explore on your own, or you can join an optional visit to Glendalough, one of Europe's important monastic sites in the Garden of Ireland.

Dublin to Liverpool
Cross the Irish Sea to Holyhead on the Welsh Island of Anglesey. You'll visit the famous train station with one of the longest names in the world, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. Continue through north Wales to Liverpool, the birthplace of the Beatles, and head to Haydock in St. Helen's for the night.

Haydock to Gretna Green
Stop in the Lake District, a region that inspired poetry and prose. You have the option to take a cruise on Lake Windermere, viewing the northern coastline, deserted islands and Wray Castle. You'll see the landscapes loved by William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter before crossing the Scottish border to Gretna Green to learn about eloping couples. An optional traditional dinner is available this evening.

Gretna Green to Edinburgh
Your local guide takes you past the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Edinburgh Castle to explore the city's character. You can optionally visit Rosslyn Chapel or Edinburgh Castle, and enjoy optional food, wine, and Highland dancing this evening. The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is included on certain departures.

Continue into Northumberland National Park to see Hadrian's Wall, the largest Roman archaeological feature in the world. Stop in York for an orientation tour of the medieval city and Gothic Minster, then stroll the cobbled Shambles, have dinner, and continue to Bradford.

Drive through the Cotswolds, a collection of small thatched villages and rolling green hills. Visit Bladon to see St. Martin's Church where Sir Winston Churchill is buried. Continue to Oxford, England's oldest university city, to see several landmarks including the Bodleian Library, then head south to London where you'll say farewell to your Travel Director.
