Rome
This morning starts with a guided walking tour through Imperial Rome, then a panoramic bus ride takes you past the Arch of Constantine and the Colosseum. You'll reach Vatican City around 11:00 a.m., and there's an option to visit the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel on your own. Later, you'll transfer to the Trastevere neighborhood for dinner, heading back to your hotel around 8:30 p.m.

You have a free day in Rome to do as you like. If you're interested, there's an optional excursion: Capri if you're traveling April through October, or Naples and Pompeii during the November through March season.

- Day 4
Rome - Orvieto - Castiglione del Lago - Siena
You'll travel through Umbria to Orvieto, a medieval city perched on a hilltop with a Gothic cathedral worth seeing. From there, head to Castiglione del Lago on Lake Trasimeno for a short walk and lunch. Then it's on to Siena in Tuscany for the afternoon, where the famous Piazza del Campo and the Duomo are waiting for you.

Starting from Siena, you'll pass through Monteriggioni, a small medieval village with cobbled streets surrounded by ancient walls. Next comes San Gimignano, known for its tall medieval towers scattered throughout the town. After lunch, you'll head to Florence, arriving early in the afternoon.

Florence
Begin at the Michelangelo viewpoint to take in views of Florence from above, then walk down into the historic center for a guided tour. You'll leave Florence for Pisa to see the famous Leaning Tower and the artistic buildings around it. From there, travel along the scenic Italian Riviera to Sestri Levante, a seaside resort where you can grab lunch and take a stroll. Later, continue toward the French Riviera, stopping in Monte Carlo mid-afternoon to visit the historic casino, then arrive in Nice around 8:00 p.m.

After breakfast, a coach tour takes you along Nice's famous Promenade des Anglais, passing Massena Square and the old port. You'll head to Saint-Maxime next to walk through the historic center and see the 16th-century Square Tower by the port. Then it's a scenic boat ride to Saint-Tropez, where you can explore the old fishing port full of luxury yachts and have lunch. In the afternoon, continue to Marseille to see the lively Vieux Port (Old Port).

You'll explore Provence starting in Aix-en-Provence, where narrow streets, fountains, and picturesque squares fill the historic center. Then move on to Avignon, the walled city on the Rhône, where you can stroll and have lunch. You'll see the Palace of the Popes, which was once the seat of the Catholic popes. Next, visit the Pont du Gard Roman aqueduct, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest preserved Roman monuments (admission included). Later, travel toward Catalonia and arrive in Barcelona in the evening.

You'll arrive in Madrid between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m., then transfer to Plaza Mayor for pinchos or wine.

The afternoon is yours to relax or explore further, and you'll have an evening transfer back to your hotel.
