    You'll arrive in Amsterdam and have the whole day to yourself. Wander through the city's colorful neighborhoods, pop into shops that catch your eye, and grab coffee or lunch at one of the many cafés scattered throughout. This is a great time to get a feel for the city before your ship activities begin.

  2. Day 2

    Amsterdam to Nijmegen

    This morning you'll take a guided canal cruise that passes the Golden Age mansions Amsterdam is known for, then the rest of the day is yours to explore freely. If you're interested, there's an optional trip to Keukenhof gardens where you can see millions of tulips and spring bulbs. By evening, you'll board your ship for an overnight cruise heading to Nijmegen.

    Nijmegen to Maastricht

There's also the Airborne Museum of Hartenstein if you want to learn about the 1944 Battle of Arnhem. That evening, you'll cruise overnight to Maastricht.

    Antwerp to Brussels

Later there's dinner and live entertainment on board before your overnight cruise to Brussels.

    We would like to thank our Statesman Attendee that took care of all our needs in our room 107. He was friendly and did an amazing job, Marisio our waiter served us with the highest respect and friendliness. Over all Avalon have very good staff and always a smile- nothing too much trouble. The ship was so clean, food was spectacular. We had a surprise group of singers Gwen and Charles who brought great entertainment. The other entertainer was amazing. Loved the top deck BBQ. We met lots of new friends aboard. Thank you Avalon for a trip well executed.
