Amsterdam
You'll arrive in Amsterdam and have the whole day to yourself. Wander through the city's colorful neighborhoods, pop into shops that catch your eye, and grab coffee or lunch at one of the many cafés scattered throughout. This is a great time to get a feel for the city before your ship activities begin.

Amsterdam to Nijmegen
This morning you'll take a guided canal cruise that passes the Golden Age mansions Amsterdam is known for, then the rest of the day is yours to explore freely. If you're interested, there's an optional trip to Keukenhof gardens where you can see millions of tulips and spring bulbs. By evening, you'll board your ship for an overnight cruise heading to Nijmegen.

Nijmegen to Maastricht
You've got options in the Arnhem and Nijmegen area. Bike through the Ooijpolder Nature Reserve if you want something active, or join a guided tour of Nijmegen, the oldest city in the Netherlands with 2,000 years of Roman history behind it. There's also the Airborne Museum of Hartenstein if you want to learn about the 1944 Battle of Arnhem. That evening, you'll cruise overnight to Maastricht.

Maastricht to Namur
You'll sail into Maastricht in the early morning. Choose between a guided walk with your Adventure Host or a classic sightseeing tour to see the cathedrals, old houses, historical buildings, and the impressive cobblestoned town center. Later that evening there's live entertainment on board before you head out on an overnight cruise to Namur.

Namur to Liège
In Namur, pick what appeals to you: take a countryside bike ride with your Adventure Host, visit the Abbey of Maredsous where you can taste Benedictine cheese and beer, or join a guided tour of the old town with its fortress citadel and medieval architecture. You'll have free time to walk the cobblestone lanes, visit cafés, and check out local bookshops. Then you'll cruise overnight to Liège.

A guided sightseeing tour takes you through Liège, known as the 'Fiery City,' where you'll see beautiful ancient quarters, unusual alleys, and romantic streets. Make sure to try the city's authentic Liège waffles, which are something special. Later that day and evening, you'll cruise to Antwerp.

Antwerp to Brussels
Antwerp gives you a choice: bike through the city with your Adventure Host or take a guided tour. The guided option includes the central Grote Markt with its 16th-century guildhall houses, the beautiful city hall, and the Cathedral of Our Lady where you can see altarpiece paintings by Rubens. Later there's dinner and live entertainment on board before your overnight cruise to Brussels.

The afternoon is free, so you can explore the city at your own pace. Your ship stays overnight in Brussels.

Ghent
Start with a guided sightseeing tour of Ghent, the 'Diamond of Flanders,' including St. Bavo's Cathedral with its remarkable Flemish artwork. If you want a full day out, there's an optional excursion to Bruges where you can explore the canals, cobbled streets, medieval buildings, 13th-century belfry of Market Square, and charming patrician houses. This evening there's live entertainment on board. Your ship docks overnight in Ghent.

Ghent to Middelburg
Choose between biking through Ghent with your Adventure Host or heading to Ypres for a full-day discovery experience at the In Flanders' Field Museum. There you'll learn about the Belgian invasion, WWI trench warfare, and wartime remembrance, plus have lunch at the museum café. You can also visit battlefields, cemeteries, and memorials, and experience the nightly Last Post Ceremony under the Menin Gate arches. Overnight you'll cruise to Middelburg.

After that, either bike to Veere with your Adventure Host or continue by ship. In Veere, you'll explore the charming town with a local guide. Lunch is on board while you cruise, then you'll head to Rotterdam for an overnight stay.

You'll arrive in Zaandam in the morning with free time to see windmills, waterways, flower farms, handicraft shops, and museums. That afternoon the ship cruises to Haarlem with lunch on board. Choose between an easy bike ride to the beach with your Adventure Host or exploring Haarlem itself, a major flower-bulb-growing district with medieval features, gabled houses, and leafy courtyards. You'll have dinner on board while sailing back to Amsterdam.
