Rio de Janeiro
You've landed in Rio de Janeiro and your Yes-Trips leader will be waiting to help you drop your bags. From there, it's straight into Carnival mode with your group. You'll get to know the other travelers while trying your first caipirinha, then head out to soak in the street celebration energy.

Rio de Janeiro
Start the morning with traditional Brazilian breakfast, which means pão de queijo and strong coffee. After that, you'll join the street blocos with your leader and locals, dancing through Rio in colorful costumes. If you want the full Carnival experience, the Sambódromo Samba Parade is offered as an optional add-on.

- Day 3
Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast features tropical fruit and fresh pastries to fuel up. You'll spend another day dancing with the blocos and soaking in Carnival energy. If you'd rather swap the street parties for something different, optional surfing in Ipanema is available as an alternative.

Landmarks Ipanema Beach - Day 4
Rio de Janeiro
Following a scenic breakfast, the morning takes you to Christ the Redeemer statue. After you return to the city, you can jump back into the blocos for afternoon dancing or head to Copacabana Beach if you need to step back and relax. Your leader can point out other options based on what you're feeling.

Rio de Janeiro
You'll have breakfast with a beach breeze before a morning city tour with a local guide. The route covers Rio's colonial streets and hidden spots beyond the usual tourist areas. In the afternoon, you can join an optional favela tour for local insights, relax on the beach, or keep celebrating Carnival.

Rio de Janeiro

It's a nice change of pace from all the Carnival activity, though evening parties are still an option if you want them.

Rio de Janeiro to Ilha Grande
Time to leave Rio's energy behind and head to Ilha Grande, a car-free island paradise. You'll take a scenic transfer to the port and then board a boat to this jungle destination with hidden beaches and turquoise waters. By evening, you'll settle in and enjoy sunset cocktails on your toes in the sand.

Landmarks Ilha Grande - Day 9
Ilha Grande
Start with açaí breakfast overlooking the ocean. You can join a full-day boat tour around Ilha Grande's coastline where you'll swim in turquoise lagoons, snorkel, and visit remote beaches only reachable by boat. Fresh lunch comes served seaside, and between the photos and the laid-back island feel, the day flows easily.

Ilha Grande to Rio de Janeiro
After breakfast, you'll say goodbye to Ilha Grande and take the boat back to the mainland. Your leader gets you back to Rio de Janeiro so you can catch your onward flights home.
