I travel with my doughter of 9 years old. I would have a local guide or travel with a group. May you help me?

Please note that we offer set itineraries in each country. This means that our tours follow a fixed route and schedule, and unfortunately we're not able to customise or amend them. The one important point to highlight is that our tours have a minimum age requirement of 12 years old.

Can you confirm whether or not someone can pay for their own room on this trip? Another representative said that because this trip is 18-39 you cannot have your own room. But it gives me the option to pay for my own room?? I want to know if I can have my own private room! I understand the train part cannot be private, but if there is the option to add on my own room for $759 CAD, why was I told that I cannot??? Please confirm.

Typically, with the 18 to 30something tours, accommodation on these tours is majorly multi-share accommodations such as Hostels and we generally do not have My Own Room options on them, which is why they could have advised this. I can confirm that there is a My Own Room option available for this tour to add to the booking for $759 CAD. This tour's accommodation is Hotels for 13 nights and 1 night in the overnight train. My Own Room is not for the night of the train.

I plan to book initially as a solo traveler and will add a friend later if they decide to join. Will I receive a refund for the difference in cost if this occurs?

This is an 18-39 tour so it is a mix of hotels and hostels. On hotel night you will it will be 2 per room, hostel nights are 4-6 per room sharing with other travelers of the same sex. A single supplement is not available for this tour.

Is it possible to open two additional spots for the departure date of 3 April 2026?

Unfortunately, that tour is sold out so we cannot add any more travellers to it. We do still have 5 spots on the April 11-25 departure if they wanted to rebook to that date.

I was wondering whether it might be possible for me to conclude the tour in Yangshuo instead, and then continue my journey independently from there to Shanghai, either by flight or by train.

That is no problem at all if you would like to leave the tour in Yangshuo and continue travelling independently. Please be advised that any costs associated with missed services will be forfeited. You will just have to let the CEO (Chief Experience Officer aka your guide) know at the start of the tour what your plans are.

How many people are there per room?

The accommodation is based on twin share accommodation except on the overnight train, which may be 4-6 berth

how can I apply that lifetime deposit and pay the difference?

We will add the Lifetime Deposit here as a discount and will ask Tourradar to charge the difference (if any).

Is this tour restricted to ages 18 to 39? Can ages 50+ and 60+ take this tour?

Unfortunately this tour is one of our 18-Thirtysomething tours, which has an upper age limit of 39 years. We do have other travel styles that have no age restrictions.

Is breakfast included in the hotels?

No breakfast is not included on this trip.

I am keen to see the natural sites of China including Zhangjiajie, and looking for a fairly active tour. I am also travelling alone. I am over 39 year old though. I am fit and well.

This trip is only available to people 18-39, so we would not be able to book you on this trip. Im sorry non of our other trips in China visit Zhangjiajie.
