Are there any summer festivals or local events along the tour route that guests sometimes have the opportunity to experience? I'm interested in the Nanaimo Marine Festival and wondering if it might be possible to see either the parade or the bathtub race if tour dates coincide with that weekend.

Most major Nanaimo festivals occur during the summer months approximately July and August. Although we do not have any tours that include a visit to the festival we do have 2 tours that include visits to this location, region. Another suggestion would be to book post tour accommodation or pre tour accommodation and visit this region independently.

Does this tour include cathedral grove?

I do not see any mention of the Cathedral Grove for this tour. I have attached the trip notes for your reference which does list inclusions as well as the itinerary, please have a look and let me know if you have any questions.

On the 2nd day at Campbell River, would we need to book a grizzly bear tour prior to the trip? Would we be able to do a bear trip and Elk Falls Park in the same day?

The grizzly bear tour costs $650 per person which includes all taxes and fees. Only a few spots are available with the local company. They release spots 30 days before and the tour usually sells out quickly. You can try booking on site, but space is not guaranteed and rates might differ.
