- Day 1
Perth
You'll arrive in Perth and head to the DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront on your own. From there, you have two nights to get settled and wander around the city at whatever pace feels right. It's a good chance to check out the local area and get your bearings before the real activities start.

Rottnest Island
Start your day by catching the Rottnest Express ferry from Barrack Street Dock, taking about 1.5 hours to reach Rottnest Island, which sits roughly 22 km off Perth's coast. You'll join a 90-minute bus tour hitting highlights like Wadjemup Lighthouse and the West End lookout with its rugged views. After that, the rest of the island is yours to explore on your own, and you might run into quokkas, those famously smiling little kangaroos. Head back to Perth on the ferry in the afternoon.

- Day 3
Perth to Margaret River
Drive south through countryside with several stops along the way. You'll grab coffee in the coastal town of Mandurah, then check out the Featured Wood Gallery in Bunubry to see wooden artworks and furniture. From there, head to Busselton for a walk across the world's longest wooden footbridge in the southern hemisphere. Stop at Margaret River Chocolate Company to sample handmade truffles, swing by Surfers Point to watch surfers where the Margaret River meets the Indian Ocean, and see the historic Greek memorial chapel in Prevelly before arriving at Margaret's Beach Resort for your two-night stay.

- Day 4
Margaret River
Start by exploring Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park and descending into Mammoth Cave, a limestone cavern with megafauna remains over 50,000 years old. Drive through Boranup Karri Forest where towering trees exceed 65 meters and the forest floor shows wildflowers, orchids and mushrooms depending on season. Head to Hamelin Bay to watch stingrays in shallow water, then visit historic Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, the tallest on the Australian mainland, for a guided tour about lighthouse keepers' lives. Your evening is free to relax and recharge.

Margaret River to Perth
Start at Yahava Koffee Works tasting freshly roasted coffee and learning how to make the perfect cup. You'll visit two award-winning wineries for tastings, with one pairing cheeses from Margaret River Dairy Co. Stop by Olio Bello olive oil farm to sample freshly pressed oil and spices, then enjoy lunch of local farm produce at the Olio Bello Café. After that, head back to Perth and check into the DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront for one night.

Perth to Indian Pacific
After breakfast, transfer to East Perth Rail Terminal to board the famous Indian Pacific train. You'll spend a relaxing afternoon at a welcome party as the train departs Perth, leaving the Indian Ocean behind and heading toward the Pacific along the world's longest straight railroad line. Your next four nights will be spent on board the train.

Kalgoorlie to Cook
You'll arrive in Kalgoorlie at sunrise and explore Australia's largest outback city. Visit the Super Pit Mine from the gold rush era to see the town's history and present, then return to the train. Spend the day relaxing as you travel across the Nullarbor Plain toward South Australia. Late evening, the train stops in Cook for a nightcap around a campfire and stargazing.

- Day 8
Cook to Barossa Valley
Morning brings views of pastureland, Flinders Rangers, Spencer Gulf, and Adelaide Plains from the train. Late afternoon, you'll disembark at Two Wells and transfer by coach to Barossa Valley wine region. Experience a special culinary event at Seppeltsfield winery in the wine cellar with a 'Firing of the Barrel' demonstration followed by a chef-created dinner with regional products and wines. Platinum guests can taste a 100-year-old wine. After dinner, return to the train station and continue your journey on the Indian Pacific.

Overnight the train reaches Broken Hill, Australia's first heritage-listed town in New South Wales. You'll have your pick of various excursions to explore the silver city's history, art and culture. At midday, return to the Indian Pacific and settle in to watch the scenery as the journey continues.

Landmarks Broken Hill - Day 10
Blue Mountains to Sydney
You'll arrive at the Blue Mountains with a choice of how to spend your time. Head to Scenic World to ride the Scenic Skyway over ancient gorges with 270-degree views through glass floors of the Three Sisters, Jamison Valley and Katoomba Falls, then board the Scenic Cableway gliding over forest as you descend more than 500 meters, and take the Scenic Railway, the world's steepest passenger railroad. Or join a guided hike with multiple vantage points. After lunch at Eco Point Lookout, continue to Sydney on a chartered train or stay on the Indian Pacific to arrive later. Your journey ends at Sydney Central Station with options for individual departure or extensions.
