Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Costa Rica
A local host will meet you at the airport and handle your transfer to the hotel. You'll have time to settle in and relax by the pool if you'd like, then later join your Travel Director and the rest of the group for a Kickoff Party to meet everyone.

- Day 2
San Jose to Tortuguero
You'll head east through Braulio Carrillo National Park on a scenic boat ride through protected wetlands to reach Tortuguero. The journey takes you through canals, lagoons and lowland rainforest before arriving at Laguna Lodge. Once there, you'll learn about the lodge's eco-friendly design and operations, then have dinner at the resort's open-air restaurant.

- Day 3
Tortuguero National Park
Starting early, you'll wake to howler monkey calls and join a Family Fun cruise through Tortuguero National Park's canals with your Local Specialist. You'll look for sloths, green iguanas, caimans, crocodiles, toucans, howler monkeys, spider monkeys and white-faced capuchins in the canopy. After lunch, you can choose to go back out on the canals or hang out at the lodge. This evening, young musicians from Tortuguero Music School perform Caribbean music during dinner.

Tortuguero to Horquetas
After boating back to the mainland, you'll travel to Horquetas and visit a local Tico family's palm plantation to see how they grow this exotic vegetable. You'll stay for pizza night in their open-air kitchen where you get to make your own pizza.

- Day 5
Arenal Hanging Bridges and Be My Guest Experience
You'll head to Arenal Hanging Bridges to walk through the rainforest canopy at eye level, spotting monkeys, sloths, birds and views of Arenal Volcano. Later, you'll visit Eli Herrera's home for a Be My Guest experience where you'll make tortillas, taste homegrown dishes, hear her sing and learn about the crops she grows in her garden.

Zipline Adventure and Travel to Manuel Antonio
Get ready for a zipline adventure through the rainforest canopy on 12 platforms and 10 cables high above the jungle floor, with ocean views of Herradura Bay and chances to spot toucans, monkeys and scarlet macaws. You'll ride a mountain tractor to the summit before your descent through the treetops. After that, you'll head south to Manuel Antonio, known for its warm blue waters, beaches and exotic wildlife.

You'll walk through Manuel Antonio National Park with your Travel Director looking for wildlife. With 109 animal species and 184 bird species living here, you'll likely hear howler monkeys and see squirrel and white-faced monkeys. This evening, you'll celebrate new friendships with dinner at the hotel.

Departure from Costa Rica
You'll travel back to San Jose's Juan Santamaria International Airport for your flight home, with airport arrival around 11:00 am. If you'd like, you have the option to extend your stay at the Sheraton San Jose instead.
