Can you tell me what's your optional tours available and how much will they be? When do I confirm on the optional tours? Will the optional tours be fully guided as well? How about hotel airport transfer?

I am scared of heights and steep hills. Are any of the activities involved such scenarios? How about the optionals?

Can you let me know the cost of all the options extras and what they are on this trip? Also do you have the name of the first hotel so that we can book an additional night there pre-tour if necessary for flight times?

Optional Excursions: Suomenlinna Fortress at €65 - ferry tour with museum entry and lunch. An Evening in Helsinki at €55 - city attractions tour. Vilnius+ Full Day Excursion at €75 - explores bohemian neighborhood, Amber Museum, and former prison turned arts space. Regarding hotel, we suggest contacting us 90 days before tour for confirmed starting hotel details.

Are international flights included in the tour price?

Whilst internal flights are covered for certain itineraries, you will have to make your way to the meeting point for the start of your tour. When booking flights be mindful of departure times and possible delays. Tip: We suggest that you start comparing prices the moment your deposit is paid to avoid costly flights.

Are young children allowed?

We have a set minimum age of 10 for our tours, but we're happy to consider younger children on a case-by-case basis. Just let us know your request, and we'll do our best to accommodate it. Expat Explore reserves the right to accept or decline the request at our discretion. We want to ensure everyone has a great time exploring with us!

Can you cater for my dietary requirements?

We make every effort to include local cuisine on our tours to ensure an authentic experience for you. You'll receive an email before the tour begins, where we'll ask for your dietary preferences. We always have a vegetarian option, and we'll work hard to accommodate any other dietary needs or preferences you may have.

Do I need to exchange cash before I leave?

Contactless payment is widely accepted across Europe – it’s best to bring a payment card with no overseas withdrawal fees. * Keep in mind that certain optionals are payable in cash to your tour leader whilst on tour. We suggest that you talk to your Tour Leader about when & where to draw cash to pay for the optional excursions.

This was my sixth Expat tour, and I had heard legends of tour guide Luke. I finally got him as a tour leader and the legends were indeed true. He's one of the best tour leaders I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and learning from. He has a vast knowledge of the destinations we visited and I was transported back in time by his wonderfully soothing, palpable English voice. He'd make an excellent narrator for film and television! He's also extremely approachable and has such an optimistic demeanor. Also, he is always available for questions, concerns, or just friendly banter. More importantly, he's honest. He won't b.s. you or beat around the bush, which I really liked. I wish my tour was longer because we had a lot of fun together in such a short amount of time. He's the kind of person you want to root for and I'm proud to call Luke a new friend. Cheers, mate!Show more

  Optional excursions can be booked while on tour with your Tour Leader. These can be paid for in cash or by card. We recommend using public transport for airport-to-hotel transportation. Tours don't usually involve extreme heights or steep hills as part of core itinerary. Some walking tours might take you through older cities with uneven cobblestone streets, gentle inclines, and steps. If you're scared of heights, you should be okay for most of the tour. It's perfectly okay to skip certain segments if they don't feel right for you.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before July 18th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after July 18th, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Expat Explore Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
