Itinerary
- Day 1
Luxor
Your morning starts with a pickup from your Luxor hotel or Nile cruise, then you'll head across to the West Bank. With your private Egyptologist guide, you're going to walk through the Valley of the Kings and see some remarkable tombs. After that, you'll check out the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, which are these two massive statues sitting out in the desert. Around midday you'll break for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you'll cross back to the East Bank and spend time at Karnak Temple Complex, which is really sprawling and takes a while to get through properly. From there, head to Luxor Temple, which sits right on the riverbank and is beautiful in the late afternoon light. You'll return to your hotel or cruise by evening.
