Arrival in Fukuoka
Your flight lands in Fukuoka and a driver meets you at the arrival hall. From there, you'll head to your hotel by private car, so you can settle in and get oriented for the week ahead.

Fukuoka
This morning starts at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, a peaceful spot dedicated to Sugawara Michizane. After that, you'll check out the Kyushu National Museum with its distinctive glass building, then move on to Nanzoin Temple where you'll see a 41-meter bronze Reclining Buddha. By evening, head to Canal City Hakata for shopping, dining, and entertainment across its 250-plus shops and restaurants.

Fukuoka
Start your day at Ichiran-no-mori, a ramen facility where you can watch noodle-making and try fresh tonkatsu ramen. Later, travel to see Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks) near Ise City, connected by a sacred rope. From there, you'll visit oyster huts on Itoshima Island for fresh seafood, walk through Shiraito Falls, and finish at Fukuoka Tower for city views from the 123-meter observation deck.

Head to Yanagawa, known as the Venice of Kyushu, for scenic flatboat cruises along traditional waterways on donkobune boats. Then travel to Kumamoto to explore Kumamoto Castle and its grounds, see Suizenji Garden with its 17th-century landscape design, and stop by Kumamon Square to see where the famous mascot works.

Yufuin
Spend your day at Mount Aso, an active volcano with one of the world's largest calderas measuring 25 kilometers across. You'll walk through Kusasenri, an emerald grassland with cattle and horses, then cross the Kokonoe Yume Otsurihashi Bridge, Japan's longest and highest pedestrian bridge at 173 meters above the Naruko River with countryside views.
