  • H

    Heather

    Asked on March 16th, 2026

Is this tour available for a solo traveller with payment of single room supplement or can I join a group but with a single room? What is the single room supplement?

    Group size
    Single supplement
    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten March 2026

This tour is designed as a private tour, which means the itinerary, guide, and driver will be arranged exclusively for you. Throughout the trip it would be just you traveling with our guide and driver, allowing the schedule to remain flexible and comfortable.

    • H

      Heather

      TravelerWritten March 2026

What kind of car is planned for this trip? Is the driver speaking English?

    • H

      Heather

      TravelerWritten March 2026

This trip is 6 days and 5 nights. For the rather high price you quoted, I am very surprised you are only including 3 hotel nights when these kind of tours would usually include as many nights as the tour proposes. I would expect a hotel accommodation for 5 nights and not for 3.

    • H

      Heather

      TravelerWritten March 2026

Is this a private tour with private driver and guide throughout or does it involve taking the Bullet train between cities? If that is the case, I am not sure this tour interests me as I want a stress free trip that doesn't involve carrying luggage and looking for my train platform in a station where hardly anyone understands English.

    • H

      Heather

      TravelerWritten March 2026

In what's included, I also noted that breakfasts each morning at your hotel are included. However on day 3, I see "Meals: None." Why?

    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten March 2026

I sincerely apologize for the confusion. I initially included only 3 hotel nights because I wasn't sure whether you had already arranged accommodation in Fukuoka for the first two nights. In the updated itinerary, I have now included all 5 nights of accommodation as expected.

    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten March 2026

The mention of the bullet train in the "What's Included" section was part of our standard template and does not apply to your itinerary. Your trip does not involve any bullet train travel. Except for Day 2 (which is a small group tour), all other days are arranged as private tours with a dedicated driver and guide, so you won't need to worry about handling luggage or navigating stations.

    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten March 2026

Hotel breakfasts are included for the morning following each overnight stay. In the first quotation, since the first two nights were not included, breakfast on Day 3 was shown as not included. Now that I have added the full 5 nights of accommodation, breakfast is included every morning starting from Day 2.

    • H

      Heather

      TravelerWritten March 2026

I would like to ensure that as in the above-mentioned tour, the transfers from and to the airport are included in your quotation. A transfer from the airport to the hotel will be needed on my arrival in Fukuoka on Saturday 23 May and a transfer from the hotel to the airport will also be needed on Saturday 30 May.

    • H

      Heather

      TravelerWritten March 2026

Regarding the hotel night for the day of our arrival, Saturday 29, I would like to know if you could organise the reservation of a double standard room for us and add the cost to the amount quoted.

    • H

      Heather

      TravelerWritten March 2026

As I am an early riser and as I would like to ensure that I arrive early enough in each city to see all the sites planned in the itinerary in a reasonably leisurely fashion, I would like to bring forward the morning starts. For instance: On Day 3, considering that Nagasaki is at about 2 hours from Fukuoka, and that the program begins at 9am in Nagasaki, the departure should be at least 2 hours before that, that is before 7am.

    • H

      Heather

      TravelerWritten March 2026

On Day 3, I would like to know if it would be possible to make a quick stop at Honmyo-ji temple or is too far from the other sites visited? At the end of the Day 3 schedule, it should not read "Return to Fukuoka" since the night is spent in Kumamoto.

    • H

      Heather

      TravelerWritten March 2026

On Day 5, I don't understand very well what the exact itinerary is. Kumamoto to Kurokawa and then we return to Kumamoto for the night? But Day 6 states Kurokawa - Fukuoka. Please clarify.

    • H

      Heather

      TravelerWritten March 2026

On Day 6, I do not see mentioned the Kokonoe Yume Grand Suspension Bridge, which features on the TourRadar itinerary. I would really like to see it added.

    • H

      Heather

      TravelerWritten March 2026

Looking at your cancellation charge table, I would request that balance of the tour be made 30 days prior to departure and that you adjust the cancellation charge to 50% at 30 days. This would reflect the current geopolitical uncertainty that could have sooner than later a devastating impact on the airline and travel industries.

    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten March 2026

The vehicle arranged in Japan is a Toyota Alphard 7-seater, which is very comfortable and fully air-conditioned.

    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten March 2026

I have updated the quotation to include: May 23: Airport transfer for 2 persons upon arrival in Fukuoka. May 30: Airport transfer for 2 persons for your departure.

    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten March 2026

I have arranged one twin room for both of you on May 23. From May 24 onwards, the arrangement is based on one single room for you, as your husband will begin his golf trip.

    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten March 2026

I completely understand your preference for early starts. However, due to working hour regulations in Japan, starting at 7:00 or 7:30 AM is generally not feasible. That said, I will arrange most days to start around 8:00 AM to help you make the most of your time.

    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten March 2026

I added on day 5 for you (day 5 in the updated version). Also, thank you for pointing it out — the overnight stay is in Nagasaki, and I have clearly marked all overnight cities in the updated itinerary.

    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten March 2026

On this day, you will travel from Kumamoto to Takachiho and Mt. Aso, and then continue to Kurokawa for an overnight stay.

    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten March 2026

I have added the Kokonoe Yume Grand Suspension Bridge to your itinerary as requested.

    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten March 2026

As your booking will be made through the platform, the standard rule requires full payment 2 months prior to departure, so at this stage, full payment would be needed. However, to give you more flexibility, I can offer an additional guarantee: After full payment, you may cancel free of charge up to 35 days before departure (by April 18).

What is the single supplement for this tour

    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten June 2024

The single supplement will be roughly around $2500 a person. It is a private tour. I strongly advice book it at least 2pax.

If I want to stay one more day in Nagasaki on my own, can I join 9/7 tour from Fukuoka, stay one more day in Nagasaki; and continue with the tour with the next group started on 9/8? What will be the price for single occupancy? If I need one more night in Nagasaki through booking with you, How much will the price?

    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten May 2024

This is an exclusive private tour not a join group tour, allowing you to tailor the itinerary according to your preferred schedule. However, please note that if you are a solo traveler, the price will be probably twice the amount listed on the website. We highly recommend inviting friends to join you on the tour as it will help reduce the individual cost for everyone involved.
