Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Cologne

You'll arrive in Cologne with the afternoon and evening ahead of you before boarding your Rhine cruise at 19:00. The city center is walkable from the dock, so head straight into exploring if you have time, or consider arriving the day before to get a proper feel for things. The cathedral dominates the skyline and you can see it from almost anywhere in the old town. There are plenty of shops, cafes, and smaller churches to wander through. If you arrive early enough, grab lunch at one of the riverside restaurants before heading back to your ship.

  2. Day 2

    Rüdesheim

Your ship pulls into Rüdesheim at 10:00, giving you most of the day to explore this Rhine town. Make your way to Drosselgasse, the narrow pedestrian lane that cuts through the heart of the old town with wine bars and local shops. This street has inspired writers and musicians for centuries and it's easy to see why when you walk through. Try a Rüdesheim coffee while you're here, a local specialty with brandy and whipped cream. The surrounding streets have half-timbered houses and you can see fortifications from different periods. By 21:00 you'll head back to the ship.

    Meals
Breakfast (Comprehensive breakfast buffet with live-cooking stations), Lunch (Comprehensive lunch buffet with live-cooking stations), Dinner (Comprehensive dinner buffet with live-cooking stations)

    Optional Activities

    • Explore Drosselgasse (Rhine Romanticism centre)
    • Visit stately homes and fortifications
    • Try a Rüdesheim coffee
    Landmarks

  3. Day 3

    Germersheim - Speyer

You dock in Germersheim at 08:00, and from there you'll need to travel about 20 km to reach Speyer, Germany's oldest planned medieval city. The main draw is Speyer's cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Germany's most significant High Romanesque structures. You can spend the morning exploring the cathedral and the surrounding medieval streets. After lunch somewhere in town, wander through the historic district to get a sense of how the city has been laid out for over 2,000 years. Your ship departs at 21:00, so you'll want to head back to Germersheim by early evening.

    Meals
Breakfast (Comprehensive breakfast buffet with live-cooking stations), Lunch (Comprehensive lunch buffet with live-cooking stations), Dinner (Comprehensive dinner buffet with live-cooking stations)

    Optional Activities

  4. Day 4

    Strasbourg (Kehl)

Strasbourg is your stop from 08:00 to 18:00. Walk through the medieval half-timbered houses and elegant city palaces that give this place its character, especially considering it's a major European policymaking center. Make your way up to the cathedral's viewing platform for some nice views of the old town's architecture before heading back to the ship.

  5. Day 5

Mainz - Loreley Valley - Koblenz

You start the day in Mainz at 07:00, a city that carries over 2,000 years of history and reflects the relaxed pace of Rhine living. From Mainz, your cruise takes you through the Loreley Valley at 13:00, one of the most scenic stretches of the river with dramatic cliffs and vineyard-covered slopes. You'll pass through or stop in Hoorn, a small charming Rhine town where you can get a quick look around. By 18:00 you arrive in Koblenz to see palaces, stately homes, and the famous Deutsches Eck headland where two rivers meet. Your ship will sail right past this landmark, giving you great views from the deck.
