Itinerary
- Day 1
London to Shrewsbury
You'll leave London behind and head toward Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace, where you'll have time to wander around the Tudor buildings and check out Holy Trinity Church. After that, it's on to Ironbridge to see the UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first iron bridge ever built. From there you'll drive to Shrewsbury for a 2-night stay in this historic riverside market town.

- Day 2
Conwy - Snowdonia - Shrewsbury
This morning you're heading into north Wales, starting with Conwy Castle, a medieval fortress that King Edward I built back in the day. The views from up there are really nice, and the battlements are in great condition. You'll then drive into Snowdonia National Park and cross the Pass of Llanberis, where you can see Snowdon, Wales' highest peak. After that, you'll head back to Shrewsbury for another night.

- Day 3
Shrewsbury to York
You're leaving Shrewsbury and driving through the Peak District countryside, passing through some really nice villages along the way. In Buxton, the spa town, you can fill your water bottle with the thermal spring water. Next you'll visit Chatsworth House to see its ornate gardens, furniture collection, and paintings. From there, you'll drive through former industrial areas and into York, an ancient walled city with loads of Roman and Viking history.

- Day 4
York
You'll spend the day in York exploring on your own, or you can take an optional half-day guided trip to Knaresborough in the Yorkshire Dales and the Eastern Dales if you'd like. The city has museums, historic walls, and plenty of cafes, bars, and restaurants showing off its Roman, Viking, and Norman heritage. Your evening is free to do what you want in York.

York - Lincoln - Cambridge - London
You'll start by heading to Lincoln, where the cathedral dominates the skyline with its Gothic architecture from the 12th century. After checking out the main cathedral, you can walk through the historic town centre and see the old streets that have been around for centuries. Later, you'll travel to Cambridge and spend time at King's College Chapel, which has some beautiful fan vaulting inside. The university atmosphere around town is worth soaking in, so you'll have free time to wander around the colleges and maybe grab lunch at one of the local spots. From there, the route heads back to London to wrap up your journey.
